Dungeons Nether Themed Raid

I was in a voice call late at night and the idea of a new raid came into mind that may be worth the effort to create and push to the main servers.

My general suggestion is to add some Nether portal themed RAID. Ever since the hunted gamemode was added and pvp in the nether was removed the portal has been sitting dormant and not in use.

Also, in most lore the warrior Bob and many other capable soldiers fights of hordes of undead from the corruption and these sieges nearly overwhelm Ragni and Detlas. This is similar to how a raid could work.

This raid would be used to show the player the severity of these sieges and have you and a few friends combat them and ultimately save the city under attack. Eventually, leading into the heart of the problem: Inside the nether itself where you defeat a boss (Maybe Bak'al?)

Some ideas for challenges I have are:
- fighting hordes
- destroying opponents warcrafts and trebuckets
- helping Bob unleash an attack or enable a defensive
- Fighting your friends (enable pvp?)
- destroying the bridge at the portal

 

if they ever re-enable pvp, I hope they balance it first lol

but yes, I'd like to see a nether raid in-game (or just more raids in general)

a raid could work, but it would have to be an endgame raid if bak’al were to be the boss; the difficulty for the raid would have to be at least tcc-level, most likely higher

I think this would be
a) Canonically impossible - everyone who went there got insane. Although we are powerful we are not really an exception to it
b) Waste of future potential - if CT justify the way we get in,there could be a big room for content. Isolating it on one raid would be bad rol


The idea is great, but it shouldn't be in the Nether Portal.

 

But you do not revive her. The fact that you did the quests in the wrong order (because of 1.20 I assume) is different thing

 

The only problem I have with this is that raids seem to be exclusive to Gavel. If raids were added to Wynn it would kinda be pointless because that region already has a lot of content. Plus if Wynn had raids and dungeons, Gavel would only seem more empty and less cared for. I do however agree that the nether could use content and an event along these lines would be fun, I just think it should be in a different format like a unique event. Either way I suspect the ct are planning on adding or re-building the nether to a certain extent.

You can do something like an npc gives a new artifact or helmet that keeps you sane, but still have some minor effects like slight nausea or slowness.

1) Having ANY quest armor is terrible
2) This would be a real pain, especially nausea - locking it for some players
3) Sure, why isn't the Nether area explored properly? We clearly have the equipment necessary...

We do not have it, that's why. Even the really powerful ice magic of Theorick only prolonged the time before he was completely corrupted and then insane.
And we don't even have the power he had. No, there is not really a possibility

 

OMG! people were saying this was impossible because of how the lore works, but there is a way we could partially fix it.
the temple of time. if the temple of time was used more(which it should be imo), we could have scenarios like this one. I do agree that a raid is probably not the best use of it(raids are gavel exclusive), but its a good idea in general

 

I would like this idea, but also if oyu can have like a defence of Wynn where you have to hold the bridge against hordes out of the nether, a bit similar to Theoricks quest, but way harder and longer battle with bosses, siege engines and pointcapturing

 

1) need an item from it
2) the item needs to be from a time before the Corruption overtook the realm, which
a) would ruin the point
b) could be thousands, even milion years ago

But point for the idea
