World Teleport Rework

Should there be a GUI, for all teleporting locations?!

    So BrightHeart_99 Came up with a possible Suggestion about Teleporting. He said: "I wish they have it to where, you open a GUI, and all the teleport is in one location, Rather than having to have scroll that takes up bank space, but ONLY if you visited that city." I said: "Oh yeah that'd be neat!" "And it would still use up soul point, and No scrolls would be taking up your bank space." I said: "Oh yeah I'd love to see that get put into the game if at all possible!"

    So, TLDR, Open a GUI for teleporting, still takes up soul point, no more scrolls, saved bank slots!

    He didn't want to post it, SO I WILL! Full credit to BrightHeart_99!

    Edit:

    This is a suggestion for a QOL change, Still costing Emeralds and Soul points, or other currency. But eliminate the need to have a scroll in a bank to teleport. Any changes or additions is good.

    Quick addition, just to make sure you still have to pay emeralds, you would have to pay for "charges" or something, basically, 1 charge = 1 teleport and they'd be the new cost instead of buying scrolls.

    Scrolls already use soul points and emeralds so taking away the latter might be a little overpowered but eh, since it's for convenience's sake, it could still work.

    currently, how tp scrolls work anyways

    so its free except for a few sp? This should cost DOUBE normal tp scrolls at least, not free...



    Personally am mixed on this suggestion. No one in their right mind carries multiple scrolls, they just use ragni ones (I litterly only use ragni tp scrolls and fast travel. ik this is just me, bug ragni -> detlas -> cinfras -> roderic is kinda poggers to do lol). Most ppl use ragni ones to go to their bank tho and get another tp scroll. For balancing, I would assume that

    There is a few things I would like to note:

    1: Pls add change voting on ur suggestion

    2: NO. Theres a point why we have to use emeralds, sometimes even 2, 3, 4eb. This is called a money sink (You can learn more about them and why they are a huge keystone for video games here: , ) TLDR; basically training money from the economy is needed, and we need to curb rapid wealth growth, not promote it.

    3: Do these new tp scrolls use more sp? if not, this is a bad system, and if yes, then the current system is better then this one (unless you have rly limited bank space if)

    also again, did this dude give you permission to post this bc it seems like he wasn't sure of the idea or smth so maybe don't give him full credit and such...

    Thanks for the insight, I am sure Salted and his team can up with something, on pricing, like 128 emeralds and a soul point or something to teleport to Olux or something. But I feel like this would be a quality of life suggestion to the fact that Teleports all in one place, like gui. Also BrightHeart_99 is fully aware if this, He's my good Friend.

    Theres alot of things something like this changes that you may not think about, some minor and some more major.

    Some more minor things may inculde how you reward players coming prepared or the pure importance of banks within gameplay.
    Worth to note there is a ton of these, some maybe good changes, some bad.

    The reason I disagree with the suggestion however is down to two rather large reasons: Fast travel as it relates to profession, and player exploration.

    First things first, fast travel.
    A form of progression that isn't often talked about in Wynncraft is fast travel. At the start of the game you mostly need to walk, with the only expection being the ability to back track to previous areas with scrolls, and by the end of the game you will instead be using muiltiple forms of fast travel across many different regions in a, what I can only descirbe as, a web like way.

    This leads to a pretty smooth form of progression in Wynn, where at level 11 you get you're movement spell, level 34 you get a horse, and you slowly unlock fast travel, so as you progress through the game, moving around the map becomes far easier, and progressively more interesting.

    Secondly, exploration.
    I think this one is more self explanatory, you will, objectively, have players exploring less.

    Understandable, But He mention that, not everyone can Teleport to a city if say, they're level 1, to Lutho, You should still be able to visit that city first before buying a teleport to that city.

    I'm arguing against the whole suggestion.
    I.e. I know what he said when I made the argument.

    Which, for the purposes of making you understand better, let me rephase.
    Wynncraft uses fast travel as another form of progession, this ruins that. (This is a summary)

    I usually carry multiple scrolls. Does this mean I am not in my right mind?

    Besides making your life a bit easier, what other benefit(s) does this suggestion provide?

    1: Pls edit the OG message instead of assuming people will read the whole thread.

    2: Also pointing out that emeralds should be a formula, instead of you offhand saying "maybe 2 eb to get to roderoc"

    3: Maybe about of EB and SP lost will be proportionate to the about of territory covered (i.e. asmord -> kandon benda is 4eb but llevangir to Roderic is 10eb) as well as level territory. (i.e. deltas -> ragni is 32e but deltas -> lutho is 5eb)

    (btw, these are random prices I thought of, there would be an actual formula of course)
