What is the difference between a shoutbox and general chat in the Wynncraft discord?

wynncraft discord is full of degenerates, theres no message whenever a thread is posted, the shoutbox is easier to access and some people dont want to use discord for various reasons

What is to stop the shoutbox not being full of 'degenerates', as you put it? Moderation? Wynncraft discord is moderated, so wouldn't the same negative reasoning towards the discord be applied to the shoutbox but just more so due to the easier access?

The shoutbox was never highly moderated and it was never very popular, but it always had a nice and small community without degenerates that had no reason to be wiped from existence because muh discord. This is coming from someone that got way more than 100k messages in #general before leaving, so don't even tell me to just use that chat because it'll never be a replacement for the shoutbox, I've seen too much shit in that chat.

 

getting rid of shoutbox because discord does what it did but better :vs: getting rid of children because adults do what they do but better

literally never heard back in a row but it looks good but it is not worth the time of my day and the time i get back in town for the first place in my mind i am so hungry i am literally just going out of the time and my head and my friend and my family is going on my birthday so i'm and my mom are doing a lot better and then i am going on the same time with you guys i think you have a lot to me for a while i am literally never coming to the gym
