How Do I Get Better Gear?

I am a level 42 Assassin and I am struggling with the amount of damage I have and I have no idea what to do for now, I saw a build for Assassins but from what I saw on another post builds pretty much start only at level 70+, for now I am leveling in ice golems near the Tower of Ascension but they're really tough. I tried going to Mountain Zombie Camp, but the exp is just terrible and takes forever to level.

Edit: I also tried to get some stuff from the trade market but I didn't really know what to look for.

I am working on making the lvl 49 Assassin build, working on getting some of the items that can't be bought.

 

I as a lvl 43, I am in Llveinger(did i spell it right?) right now. I would normally do quests for emeralds and collect many unidentified items to either try to get better gear or sell on the trade market. Also the trade market is trash for gear. Most gear I bought was for future use because all the gear I normally see is like 5-10 lvl ahead of where I am. Also I wouldnt do tower of ascension right now. I didnt go there to do it because when I was trying to get there i died to much. Besides that try to do your remaining quests you have left(the ones in Llveinger should be easy). They got me to the lvl I am right now.

 

I did try going there but the mobs over there have pretty much the same amount of HP as Ice Golems and give less exp / have less spawn rate. I don't think the problem is where I'm going, I think its what I'm doing to improve my character.

That doesn't really help, and your skill points are pretty standard except int is usually 12 or 14 min. Please tell us the items. Or make a build on wynndata and post the code that forms at the end. That website is really good for experimenting with builds before buying or getting the gear

 

I ended up making a build using Hashr's Claw, loving it so far. Here's the build link https://www.wynndata.tk/s/l0hbxg I'm missing one ring because there was only one on the trade market and I bought it, waiting for another one to pop up.

 

Hashr claw is really good. You probably will use it for 20 or more levels. However bob's sacrifice doesn't fit well with it, as it has -raw main attack damage. With super fast attack speed what you really want is + raw main attack damage since it's multiplied by 4 when translating to dps. In this case bob's sacrifice is ok because of it's high +main attack damage %, it's just not the best.

But please... Don't buy armor from merchants. While the ice island merchant gear is really good, its not worth the price. You really shouldn't buy armor from merchants unless it's something special.

 

That build is godawful, to say the least. 0 mana and sorting wynndata by thunder damage%. Hashr Claw is overtuned, but you're making it look balanced.

A better one would be avalanche/whatever chestplate/kaas' fur/whatever boots for spell
or the usual rawstack options if you're going melee.

 

OK, I'll consider that option.

Edit: I don't think it would really matter because I want to get to level 90~ and then change to a different build that I saw.

 

Already bought the stuff so too bad for me I guess but now I know.
