Make Your Health Regen 15% Every Second When In Towns

It's happened to you before. You run out of pots and run into town with barely any hp (assuming you're not mage/shaman), but you don't want to spend any money on pots, so you sit there, wounded and bleeding, gaining 0.01% health every 5 seconds. Towns should be a safe place, a place to rest, and this would really make sense since you're not fighting anything here.
Instead of being a blanket buff applying to everywhere, it would be a heal pool in the middle of the town. This way you wouldn't be able to abuse it in situations like Thanos.
Alternatively there could be a healer npc in major towns that would heal you for free/less expensive than pots.
This would not work in duels obviously.

besides, you can just heal normally as you pointed out there's no mobs

 

the problem with healing normally is it's painfully slow if you have 15000 health

 

Agreed. This would also make it less annoying to have -hpr when you're in a town, would help prevent PMIs from being an issue and would probably help reduce the number of "I went afk and lost all my stuff threads". The only real downside I see is that -hpr glass cannons build couldn't function within the confines of a town or something? That doesn't really seem important to me, but what do I know?

 

Agreed, though as Melkor pointed out, -hpr builds and stuff wouldn't work in duels etc., and imo this could be abused in situations like Thanos to get high hpr outside of the actual town. I think it should be optional, like a heal pool or a healer NPC, as has been suggested here.

That could be useful. But healing potions are so cheap at 50-65lv that I throw the everywhere. For newbie it'll be good.

 

I hadn't thought about Thanos. In cases like that it could be rather abusable unless it was tied to one specific location or they were better able to define towns.

 

Thanos' town borders is abusable even now. I often used /kill to get there because I had no idea how to get in. You shouldn't really be able to do that.
