I'm a bit tired of people spamming threads like these, so here's one with legitimate content. Still hate poll threads. I hate this one too. This should be the bare minimum of quality required to have a poll thread stay up.

    ================

Best Non-Mythic Item Poll as of 1.19.4
(With actual writeups, effort, and by someone who knows what they're talking about most of the time)

    ================
The reason this isn't for 1.20 is because 1.20 isn't even out yet and the changes are... subject to change.
Oh wait, there's an even easier way to explain this: It's for the current version of the game, not hard to understand why.

Reposted to fix all issues (whoop)
Specific title since at-level items are a whole different debate (Deadeye, Hashr Claw, etc.)
This is a good reference for vocabulary used in the thread.

The criteria for "strongest" in this poll is... anything you want it to be.
It can be the maximum power an item reaches/gives to a build, or the sheer versatility of the item that makes it great. Just pick the item you think is the strongest! ⑨

    ================

Items on the poll (loosely categorized by type, not by how good they are):
sorry these points sound like clickbait titles, but they're actually true

    Necrosis (Helmet)
+ INSANE +4 TIER this alone puts it in contention for #1 easily
+ cancelstack enabler with no -raw melee as of 1.19.4
+ 572ls <- no right being this high (THIRD HIGHEST OF ALL ARMOR, HIGHEST HELMET)
    + 3ms
+ massive poison is the cherry on top
    - high dex req and -spell%/-melee% but we all know that isn't an issue

    Nighthawk (Helmet)
+ This is 1.19.4, pre-nerf so even more busted
+ Makes arrow storm a LONG RANGE NUKE with insane accuracy while keeping its absurd damage
+ absolutely busted (basically TRIPLES arrow storm dps)
+ cool rawspell option for mage especially (the nothing twf, anyone?)
+ Optimal for basically every damage-based speedrun in the game
    - only completely busted on archer ;; <- pretty big downside

    Virtuoso (Boots)
    + Gotta love prepatch!
    + Capri but just better.
+ Way more damage than it has any right to ever have wtf
+ 3mr, the -ms is only a slight inconvenience
    - nerfed to reasonable levels in the future (not a real downside since we're considering 1.19.4)

    Shaggy Boots (Boots)
    + Another prepatch giant
+ only -4 tier, so easily cancelstackable with its massive 3510 raw melee
    + 52% THUNDER DAMAGE
+ slots nicely into heavy hybrid
    + also has lifesteal woo
    - also getting nerfed lmao (not a real downside since we're considering 1.19.4)

    Old Keeper's Ring (Ring)
    + Reqless
+ Greed enables massive amounts of healing on builds that would otherwise not have it
+ Greed is just insane in general, so much added bulk with no downside. It being percentage hp means you have emeralds healing for thousands of hp each, and that's extra added onto whatever sustain you already get.
    - not truly necessary when alternative forms of sustain are available
    - It's a defensive luxury item. It's absurdly broken in a vacuum, but it's arguably a waste of a slot in the current state of the game called Wynncraft.

    Draoi Fair (Ring)
    + -1 1st spell cost. On a ring slot. That's insane.
+ Seriously. It's crazy. Maybe I should add a bunch of filler pluses.
    - the strength req, i guess
    - Pretty useless on mage/shaman

    Atlas (Bracelet)
    + Reqless -tier, ms, ls
+ Solo carries a large portion of heavy hybrid/spell steal
+ instant -tier for heavy hybrid
+ A constant in heavy mele as well
+ Way too versatile, optimal bracelet choice for like,, half of all builds
    - can't be used in fast hybrid (not a real downside)

    The Nothing (Wand)
+ Able to fit into different builds with high bulk (TFA spellcost, TWF with full rawspell)
    + 700ls (wtf) and 3ms
    + -2 COST ON METEOR
+ Design lets it have so much variety with memes like The Nothing + Necrosis
+ dungeon item, fixed IDs so the big stats are accessible to everyone
    - inconsistent damage (but massive highs)
    - low-ish damage compared to weapons with... bigger damage
    - is the least absurd thing on the list, tied with maybe black

    Undying (Spear)
+ Insane survivability & sustain (name is really accurate huh)
+ Apoc but just better lol, keeps regen which Apoc denies
+ Super Slow attack speed <- perfect
+ Easily a pseudo-mythic weapon. It's bonkers in ETF tierstack and comfy in heavy melee.
    - No super broken gimmick, it's just plain good. Is this really a downside? It really isn't a downside.

    Black (Dagger)
+ Way more damage it has any right to have
    + ms built-in
+ Amazing armor options thanks to its elements
    + Pseudo-mythic level damage output
    - A bit dependent on Atlas and tenuto to reach peak absurdity, big minus points since Atlas is an option on this poll
    - Large part of its greatness is due to its elements (TF) and it wouldn't be this dominant in a different archetype.

    ================

Reasoning for items not on the poll:

    Rainbow Sanctuary (Leggings)
    + Carries rainbow
    - Only considered strong because it carries rainbow
    - locked to rainbow

    Case for Rsanc:
    Counterpoint:

    Intensity (Ring)
+ Okay this one has a really good argument for being on here.
+ Massive spell damage increase on a ring
    + Reqless
    - Master hive
    - Isn't really gamechanging. It just makes really good things into really really really great things.
    - Doesn't define/create/shape a playstyle
    - Useless in melee for what is supposed to be a catch-all damage ring

    Suppression (Ring)
    + 3mr reqless ring
    - negative ms and negative ls
    - extremely situational, in most cases there are better options since other slots provide mr and 3 is often overkill for the ring slot
    - No damage boost whatsoever
    - Yeah there's no real good case for this one, people just look at the 3mr and go "wow that's a lot"

    Dragon's Eye Bracelet (Bracelet)
+ Another one with a really good argument for being on the list.
    + Absurdly powerful offensively
+ Seriously, -1 3rd spell cost with def req, when you're probably already going into a tri/quad with F in it
    - same slot as Atlas, hurts a bit (draoi is often paired with atlas for good reason) but not too much since the builds it's used in are typically mr-based
    - Isn't as strong within coverage as draoi, similar coverage (warrior/mage/shaman vs assassin/archer when warrior really wants to go melee with all the amazing options available)

ruling it out on that would be like ruling out black bc it's only twf
pretty sure it's responsible for like 80% of freedom's opness rn

It's pretty clear which items are the most broken, but there's an argument to be made for and against all of them as well. Necrosis has the best case for it though, since Nighthawk and Draoi's weaknesses are due to not being busted on all classes.

Weapons aren't considered with versatility in mind.
Rsanc isn't individually broken. It can't drag Fog out of the depths of low damage hell, while the other armors on the list warp everything.

Atlas is meant to be used in places where you want -tier, so obviously it's bad in tierstack.
It's amazing in heavy hybrid and heavy melee.

Ice Bear really thinks Nighthawk is the best because it increases the dps of archer to a such ridiculous degree. Same firerate but the spell duration is almost a third of the original amount almost tripling the dps. Sure it isn't as versatile as other things but nearly triple dps is something most other items can't do, finally its on one of the most popular and already strongest classes.

Black is really interesting, because looking at just Black, you'd expect it to be a strong endgame option but not that strong. However, it has good armor options, better than its competition for sure (which often suffer from a major gap in one or two slots, while Black can go ham if you want it to). Just consider building spell Nona - it actually has 5% higher base damage and similar dual-element distribution as Black, but the armors you're stuck with in EWA really bring it down in comparison.

Undying is strong enough to invalidate every other tierstack spear with the sole possible exception of Apoc. It should never have gotten changed from Very Slow to Super Slow (as I argued when that changelog came out).

Atlas has too much lifesteal for no real reason (although hard to judge because accessory options hee hee hoo hoo), but the biggest reason it's used so much is that 1. it is the sole option for about half of spellsteal builds to get -tiers, and a competitive option in the other half, and 2. it is a competitive option throughout heavy melee (in large part because it's one of the only reasonable defensive options for heavy melee bracelets, and there are literally no offensive options for heavy melee accessories).

Dragon's Eye and Diero Lair have been talked about to death - they're very powerful offensive options for spell build. Arguably Dragon's Eye is the on-average single strongest offensive accessory - though Draoi is probably stronger within its field than Dragon's Eye in its respective area, the latter has significantly more coverage.

My vote went to Old Keeper's Ring (I know I answered Dragon's Eye on Discord, but I remembered OKR when I read this thread). It's kind of just blacklisted in building, the way Virtuoso is, but to an even stronger degree. If we really just wanted to make the strongest builds, OKR would be on almost every single build. It's one of the strongest defensive items of any type, and easily the best defensive accessory.
