Suppression is one of the best non mythic items because not only does it give an insane 3 mana regen (which is a lot in general but keep in mind Suppression is a Ring.), it also has no stat requirements at all, making it very strong and flexible because you can even equip 2 Suppression at the same time or just use 1 supression with another Ring. Currently a good suppression (3mr) costs around 16-22 le.

But now with the new update, as some of you already know a very powerful helmet will come out. Gale's sight. The Helmet will give a -2 to 4 2nd spell cost. This is insane. Being able to tp 4 times for basically free makes lootruns extremely fast and efficient. Especially Fatals will become better since now you can tp 8-11 times without having to use ice snake. Also you can always use mana potions you get from chests to quickly regen mana. This will get fatal even closer to the efficiency of warp.

Deye Bow: Huge neutral dmg. Major id same as hawkeye
Old keepers ring: Major id op, 15% hp rgn for every emerald you pick up
Rainbow sanc: best pants for rainbow sets
Draoi: Ring, it gives -1 st spell cost, you can also equip 2 of them for -2 1st spell
Internsity: % spell dmg and 15% dmg on all elements with no stat req
Hephaestus-Forged sabatons: multiple elemntal dmg, 5400 hp, 4 ms, -40% 3rd spell cost

Ice Bear says suppression isn't used too often in builds because usually with the negative mana steal its a net gain of 0, Ice Bear says also probably night hawk or other armor pieces would be more powerful.

suppression seems strong for having 3mr on paper but in practice it competes for ring slots against intensity, draoi fair, mpc and okr, all of which being either top tier or a candidate for #1 non-mythic. it's not as strong in relation to options you could run over it.

Tbh Nighthawk is currently the most broken item in game overall by far. It's capable of turning bad builds into unstoppable killing machine that hardly need any skill.
(Personally I'm hoping for -50% dmg reduction)

 

hawkye nerf and raw sd nerf already incoming, again imo ppl are getting carried away when they suggest drastic measures like -50%

 

-50% is perfectly fine since Nighthawk: 1. removes the danger factor from the insane dmg of arrowstorm into enemy's face. 2. basicly makes Bomb useless and combo'ing raw first spell is so easy that you can achieve ungodly amounts of dmg for small amounts of mana. If a bad nighthawk build averages at 25-35k per arrowstorm 15-20k spells which can be used VERY rapidly would simply be fine as it should be. It is a helmet without ANY requirments and fairly good amount of health for its use.
EDIT: 3. Oh yes I almost forgot to tell how ridiculous the time of nighthawk arrowstorm is compared to the normal one.
EDIT2: Or just add reqs and make heath more - that would be pretty cool.

what are you trying to say?

limiting it to specific archetypes won't resolve its power issue
it's only going to create large viability gaps between the archetypes

you need to build more mana to make use of the faster arrow storm casts

firstly i think you're going way over the top by proposing a further -50% on top of the already confirmed changes to nighthawk.

secondly i think that the item team's proposal is independently better than yours.

i get hawkeye is op currently but you have to keep in mind that you're necessarily forgoing a strong helmet alternative like aphotic, cumulonimbus, sizzling shawl, or unravel by opting for nighthawk, all of which scale far better with archer's naturally high base damage and secondly ease options elsewhere via useful ids like sp or a lack of -thunder defense.

nighthawk seems strong alone but you're forgetting that other helmets are similarly powerful as well (see my argument regarding suppression above).

post-patch rainsanc freedom is the best example of this: you'll find that nighthawk is difficult to squeeze in without making fundamental compromises, equating to at least 3k losses in bomb damage. after losing the range advantage, 20% storm damage, and paying the id price on top of that, you're left with a nighthawk variant which cannot be definitively said to be op.

edit: i forgot about memento since i play positive ls archer, but it stands that you tend to lose a decent chunk of stats off of using nighthawk over a superior statwise choice.

 

What are the confirmed changes exactly? The nerf they previously announced as big was merely -1 raw.
Also you just can't prove that this isn't infinitely better than the stardust variation.
