World The Music Is Laggy

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but often while playing wynncraft ill turn off the note block sounds because the music can get a bit annoying, with it being just a bit more chopped up than would be comfortable comfortable.
i would personally suggest just keeping it this way, but maybe for the wynntills mod, using the map tracker, they can detect where the player is, and use that to start playing some more, high quality, less laggy music. or of course the wynncraft team could find a way to do this without mods(though that would be a lot harder).
now obviously some people would like to keep the old note block music, and i think that's fine as the note block music is still done incredibly well, however this would still be an option that many people would really appreciate(especially those with worse internet connections).
now I'm not saying that using note blocks is a bad idea, in fact I think it would be really nice to keep the songs using the note block sounds.
I would like everyone who reads this to remember this is just something I noticed, and would like to have changed AS AN OPTION. I know there will be some people who would want this to stay the way it is, and that's perfectly understandable. I am not criticising the way they are doing this, as it is not bad at all, but i would like to give some suggestions to make it a bit better. thanks for the time.

 

It could be made by putting the music files into the resource pack, but this would make it several times bigger (music github repository has around 300-500MB) so this wouldn't be a solution.

Also even if it could be possible, why make new music? The noteblock ones could still be present

The quality of music is diretly related to the lag you have, meaning less lag better quality

 

Wynntils has this as a feature.

And making this as a resource pack might require a 1.12+ update, since idk if sounds.json can be edited in previous versions

 

yeah this is what i meant by a choice. i do personally dislike the lag but others will obviously not have a problem with it. and i do really like the note block music, the only problem being the lag.

yeah i thought of that, but considering this is a map based music system, and minecraft isn't, the music would just start playing whenever, which would defeat the purpose of most of the tracks.

I do use Wynntills, but I guess i never noticed this. thanks, I guess that defeats the whole point of this thread. ill check it out.

It wouldn't. It would work the same as noteblocks do except you play the music. But as I said, it really is not practical.

you can make the noteblock songs as mp3 you know

 

yes i know, i just wanted to have the music sto lagging, thats the whole point f the thread.

and yes it does, but i have tried it out and it doesnt seem to work, although i havent updated my wynntills pack yet, and it says its still in beta so i could probably update that.(I've tried it out and it seem to work at all. if someone can help me with that it would be appreciated.)
