Just as title says as I like to make builds but I need to get schooled in "How to do Wynncraft Builds 101." Also, what combinations are better, health regen and mana regen, health regen and mana steal, life steal and mana regen, or life steal and mana steal?

    Maybe check out Druser’s signature

The thread on my signature has a few game mechanics too
(Or just any ol’ guide thread)

The way I learned (but I’m no master) is just doing it. Just try to make a build > Then show it in the forums or discord > Cry inside at how bad it is > improve build
Eventually you’ll learn mechanics and meta and stuff that way. Build to your preference though :). Lots of people would call some of the builds I’ve made “bad,” but I like them.

Health regen and mana regen and life steal and mana steal synergize well, but honestly it doesn’t matter overly too much as long as you have super slow attack speed.
(Unless you’re warrior, mana steal is not preferable on warrior due to low melee range. But as with everything, it’s situational. For instance, on my Hero abuse build I don’t want hpr, cuz I wanna be able to control my health, so I use lifesteal, but I’m not gonna constantly be meleeing, so I use mana regen with it)

I'd recommend checking out this thread.
It doesn't actually discuss building at all, but shows what will actually benefit your build. I'd also recommend watching the building section, and seeing some of the things that the builds there use and feedback that is given, and trying to make some builds in wynndata based on that.

As for your second question, the answer is that it depends. I generally prefer regen for mainly spells/ fast hybrid and steal for slow hybrid/mainly melee, but that really depends on what you prefer and what works with the id's you already have.

i don't have a written guide but i can try to school you anyway

my main targets are ls + mixed mana, but it depends on both the player and the archetype

there are specific item pools that you can consistently draw out of for most standard builds. keeping the names of said items in mind is a really strong start to learning an item meta; you should stick to them in general and consider off-meta options when you need to.

twa build that ppl like druser straight up recite
    my standard wf choices
    variant of what's called "airslap"

as a player who would call his builds "bad", i can vouch for this

also i recommend specialising in an area of preference since it helps you establish knowledge and confidence in something, which helps as a foothold into general building

archer should also forgo the -tiers too due to stinger existing imo

wynndata is vastly more accessible imo, but it's true that the calc is more comprehensive

Yeah, I recommend that primarily so they'll know what will help with their damage the most, so they won't need to trial and error it quite as much.
