Backpack Concept Idea

Introduction

Each update gives us new content, items, loots, bosses and dungeons. With every new stuff, the inventory becomes smaller and smaller, until it gets full in matter of seconds. We need to carry around at least 2 weapons, a horse, few pots, money and some scrolls, which already takes alot of space.
But if we look a bit closely, we're going to see whole 8 slots were grabbed by jewelry, pouch, compass, book and souls.
And that's not even the limit, because they obviously going to add more and more cool stuff, which we need to carry!

So what to do, hmm??

I suggest to add a Backpack, that works mostly like pouch, but you need to unlock him. Backpack will have additional 27 slots, been separated into 3 lines, each can be unlocked by special nps, that located in key-cities (such as Detlas, Llevigar or Trooms). Each line cannot be used until you bought an upgrade for a backpack. Also, items firstly will go inside backpacks, and only then into inventory, if bp is full. How to balance it? What about adding a blacklist like for pouch, but instead of non-ingredient it should contain everything, except weapons and armor (or only weapons) and, maybe, quest items(not really sure about that).

So, what will it solve?

If you add a Backpack into the game, then almost from the start - at Detlas, you can buy it and return your fair 9 slots back (4 jewelry + 1 pouch + 3 interface + 1 backpack = 9) and also, in mid-game - you'll get additional 18.

 

I like the idea. I really do.
Problem is, lootruns would become even more effective. Pretty much a full inventory of extra slots would be made available to you which would mean more emeralds, more space, more mythics.
The current inventory is balanced enough as it is. What I like about this concept is that it upgrades if you choose to explore major cities, just like in Pokemon games. I would like to see something (not a backpack or extra inventory slots upgrade) like this that encourages exploration. -1 because of the actual concept but I must say the NPC upgrade thing is nice.

 

Extra 27 slots, 8 from those have been taken by some interface items and jewelry and 18 free ones, will be effective because I suggest to add a very hard quest with exploring, some mind-working and headbreaking random puzzles, which will eventually grant you additional slots for your items. These quests should be located in some "secret" spots which can be uncovered by same exploring, and also have a level restriction such as 10th, 50th and 75-100th level, which will make bp even harder to obtain but genuinely rewarding, so low lever players and loot runners will need to complete hard quest before getting more loot, while normies - get additional adventures and fun.

 

1-2 weapons, horse, 0-6 health pots 1-3 slots for emeralds and 1 scroll. That is not really that much. You are not supposed to have 4 different scrolls, many IDed/inIDed items etc.
You are supposed to have only things necessary for the game, and if you inventory is full of junk, you are supposed to choose what you think is the best, not just pick up everything.

Don't forget it will get fully solved on wiki in matters of days after its release. I don't want it to be banned topic, which might make ot nearly impossible of (sorry) stupidier players.


I must admit the suggestion is really good. Balanced poll, a lot of details, some balancing, just amazing. I can't wait to see more suggestions like this!

You can't make quests enjoyable and hard, because people will always search for easier way to solve it, so there is no point in trying to do hard quests without grand RANDOM. Although, what I suggest, is that BackPack should be obtainable with quest and money just to make sure you deserve it. Of course, there will be alot of people doing quest by guide and spending money from main account, but for new players and those, who plays FOR ENJOYMENT (like me, I do really enjoy completing quests without guides) - this is going to be cool feature. Tbh, I don't really have that much struggling with inventory, but, since I'm the hamster and like to have everything for every event of the life, I really want to see backpacks in the game. Also, theye areuare inventory expansions in other MMORPG games, because in there, you need to carry alot of stuff with ya, and, for me - the full first page contains pots, scrolls, food, more scrolls, some profession items, a bit of tools and some coins.

Oh, and, yes, I have snit ton of ideas to suggest, and (in dreams) I hope I can see some of them in the game (except the new class suggestion, because I need :D

This is actually the most balanced backpack suggestion I've seen so far, and I like it, but once again, lootruns.

I think about quest for 1st level, 2 LE for 2nd and 20LE for 3rd, because of how OP can it be later in the game. Also, add item blacklist is essential

 

for a relatively new player you actually make some good suggestion :))

By the way I don't think adding more than 9 slots is good because, yeah, lootruns. Maybe after you hit level 105 you will understand why

Ye, I know about lootruns, even tho I'm "new", and, as I said, the simplest solution to this is adding a blacklist to, for example - unidentified items
