I know that a good portion of you will be preparing to flame me, shouting that we already have Corrupted Dungeons, and that they are enough. Yup, except that they don't add any major lore, at all. Plus, there's the small problem that you can get free XP from running them again and again, as long as someone's willing to throw a Dungeon Bomb. You don't even need to finish a quest.

I propose at least adding a small to medium length quest, that gives you access to the Forgery, and a Nii Rune, to get you started. It would be started by talking to an NPC, probably in Efilim or Gelibord, who might be curious about it, might be a "caretaker," be a sort of guard, kind of like Kelight, or be an agent of the Corruption, trying to get you stuck in the "Corrupted" Realm.

    Dungeons

Now, these are kinda needed, not for the dungeon aspect, but just to add some lore, and give some quests some actual purpose. Gavellian lore basically doesn't exist, and what little we have of it is either extremely general (Decay makes trees rot, etc.) or just too detailed to connect to the general lore. Plus, the Forgery has always seemed like a bit of a filler dungeon, since the CT didn't have enough time.

    Darkened Cavern: Being of Light
Necessary Level: 91, Recommended Level: 96

Now for the actual dungeons. First, the Realm of Light. Should be a dungeon quest, isn't one, and now no one likes it, thanks to a combination of quest helmet, and the suggested dungeon at the end, that wasn't implemented. As you would be battling Corruption Seeds, suggested to be rather powerful, and Orphion himself, the physical being of Light, it should be hard, and require either a very good build or a group of people.

So we start with the Key Guardian. A Corruption Seed would be the most likely possibility, since they're the thing that's causing the "Corruption" of the Realm of Light. As they are quite strong, I'd say that you could defeat one with a struggle around Level 80, and would spawn somewhat often, to get around 3 keys in a hour.

Next, we need the stages As the Realm of Light ends with Gaclux telling you to bring a group, and Orphion, being, well, Orphion, it should be quite hard, intended for Level 90-100 players. Even a Level 106 player soloing it should have some difficulty. As the overall theme would most likely be a cavern, with Corrupted Beasts that grew from the Succoru, and an overall Corrupt Light theme, with the standard spikes and corrupted mushrooms.

So it would go something like this:
Part 1: After entering, you find yourself in a room with a runic puzzle, with 5 runes (Nii, Uth, Tol, Az, Ek). Selecting each will move a block in the floor a certain amount forward or backward, and each will move it a different amount. Your goal is to get the block in a certain place.

Dialogue: ???: " You may think that you can save me, return me to my former position. Things are not as simple as you might think."

Part 2: Breaking the seal, you see a few Heliolux that have gotten stuck in this place, but they have managed to escape the seeds, for now. Kill all the seeds, without killing any of the Heliolux.

Dialogue: ???: "You cannot let me loose. The consequences would otherwise be disastrous. Unless... you are with the Dark, that I have battled for eons with?"

Part 3: You enter a room that has seemingly collapsed, but there are a few spikes and mushrooms that you may be able to jump across. However, some house Succoru, and you will need to defeat each to move on to the next section of the parkour. Plus, they seem to move, which might be a bit of a problem.

Dialogue: ???: "You shall not pass. I cannot let you do it. The Dark must be stopped at all costs!"

Part 4: A series of minibosses, each required to move onto the next. Some will gain strength in the presence of others, but there must be at least 5 for them to gain strength.

Dialogue: ???: "The Dark have sent you, haven't they? This plan of theirs, ingenious. At least it seems to be slowing you."

Part 5 Stage 1: You enter a great cavern, greater than any of the previous ones, but a powerful Succoru has infected Orphion, requiring you to subdue him.

Dialogue: Infected Orphion: "You shall not win, and I will make sure of that, even at the cost of my life! Your parasites may have weakened me, but they will never kill me!"

Part 5 Stage 2: Subduing him, you now enter his unconscious body, and try to remove the seeds, taking care to not hit any other part. You must kill all the seeds, but if you hit one of Orphion's organs, it becomes aggressive, and it is more powerful than any of the seeds.

Dialogue: Orphion: "You again... but was I wrong about you? Or was I right?"

    Rewards:

    -29180240 XP
    -64 Falling Emeralds
    -3 Darkened Cave Fragments
    -1 Seed of ???

Arcane Pit: Seems similar, yet unique
Required Level 75, Recommended Level 81

Another one, now, but this one is based on Eye of the Storm, one of the most hated quests in Wynncraft. We will be linking it up to the main lore, by turning it into a dungeon quest. And of course, we start with the key guardian. As Nagarath seems to be some sort of demon, and the Nether seems to be the most like a hell, I'd say Nagarath is a Corrupted demon, and a general of the Corruption, evidenced by the Nether/Corruption-like palette used for its hand. Of course, the quest would need to be cut off at around Stage 17, but it would work, and would give Nagarath some background. As his servants control the entrance to the Pit of Despair, I'd say that some of them would have a key, which means they would be Key Guardians.

Now, onto the description. It would be mostly like a hellpit, with a bit of Corruption thrown in. It might have a few runes or rituals inside, and would be quite similar to the pit below Caritat Mansion, in Memory Paranoia. Now, let's get to the actual dungeon!

Stage 1: You run in, and try not to be hit by the Peons of Nagarath. They are quite strong, but are easily avoided. All you must do is to reach the end of the tunnel.

Dialogue: ???: "It seems that we have an aspiring hero here. How sad that your story ends here. At least you have the honour to be the first to die in this realm."

Stage 2: The Worshippers will drop Icons of Nagarath. The Priests will drop Unholy Tomes. Place them in the appropriate locations on the ritual table, which will break the Molten Gate.

Dialogue: ???: "Well, you managed to make it past my summoned peons. Still, you are too weak, too easily influenced. It would be easy to just bend you to my will, but I'll just watch you. Much more interesting, with a free insight into humans."

Stage 3: A room filled with portals that teleport you into another. Navigate this maze of portals, and parkour your way to others, and make it too the exit.

Dialogue: ???: "You are becoming quite an annoyance, you know. Still, that spell on you is wearing out, and you don't have much time left."

Stage 4: There are a few minibosses in this room, and you must kill each one. Some will summon mini-demons with wings, and others will try to push you into lava, which is everywhere.

Dialogue: ???: "This power is quite useful, you know. Just corrupt a few villagers, and soon they will be highly powerful, determined to serve their master."

Stage 5: You enter the final room, and must kill Nagarath. If he is at certain spots, he will give all players within 10 blocks Wither, and can spawn Weakened Peons. There are a few ritual spots in the room, and you can place Weakened Icons (dropped from Weakened Peons) on one of three ritual tables, which will take out around a fifth of his health. You have a limited amount of time, around 5 minutes.

Dialogue: Nagarath: "It seems that you do have a bit of power. I will take the utmost joy into taking that, and your life, for myself!"

    Rewards:
    -460000 XP
    -48 Falling Emeralds
    -3 Arcane Pit Fragments
    -1 Nagarath's Eye

Please note that these are only my suggestions and thoughts, which might be different from yours. Some of my names might not be amazing, but they're mainly placeholders, and feel free to suggest better ones. As always, I hope that you did enjoy this, and do leave suggestions in the comments!

Well, there's one third of the "Gavel Dungeons Holy Grail".

It'd certainly be interesting to see new Gavel dungeons, but worth noting that the quests they succeed are... lackluster, at the best, at the moment (I'm talking about Realm of Light and Eye of the Storm).

Realm of Light recommended Level is 74, and unless you want to add endgame content to Gavel, the dungeon's recommended level would be 80 (intended for a group of 4 players minimum).

Eye of the Storm, which is where the player goes after Naragath, is Level 72, so it'd most likely have a recommended level of 75 (which seems to match, give or take a couple of levels).

The Forgery locked behind a quest would be an inconvenience for many, but considering it illogistically sits between Cinfras and Light Forest, it would need some much required lore in order to truly decipher its status in the game's narrative. Which is, currently, just being a floating hunk of inexplicable rock that happens to be a gateway to Corrupted dungeons.

    Also,
That part is definitely not easy for the eyes of a Dark Mode user.

Yeah, 80 would make more sense, but if I put it at 80 and later Dern came out to Level 150, there would be a small lore problem, namely that the Dern Beast is much more strong than Orphion. I tries to compensate for this in my suggestion.

I very heavily doubt Dern will be level 150. A realistic number would be around 105-110 in my opinion. When Gavel dropped and the cap was raised to 100, the developers later said that they regret raising it so much. 150 would mean a complete rework of the Wynncraft endgame, and the current "endgame" would be considered as midgame content. I know that they did it in Gavel, but back then the game was so much more simple, and as said, they regretted raising it. The absolute maxium level I can see Dern being is 125. It is possible for them to rework the endgame once again in the future, but I see it very unlikely to happen during the next 7+ years or so.

That aside, I do agree with this suggestion.

I usually assume that Fruma will be released first, then Dern, since Dern just seems like your final confrontation, or the last dungeon, or something along those lines.

why would it be level 96 in a place that is entered at level 70
i am almost 100% positive that a light realm revamp will be included in 1.20 featuring a dungeon anyway
With the name ''arcane'' and the proximity to Kander, you could easily have made this dungeon its own thing in the arcane spawn village north of cinfras. This would be 100x better because the village has 2 towers that are important to the Decay lore.
If this were added, we would have 3 seperate eye dungeon drops. Arakadicus' eye, the eye's pupil, and this. Wow.
    Seed of what? the Succoru?
I feel like Dern is the perfect opportunity to give us 2 times the years of content. I want Dern to start as level 105-115 and slowly but surely develop into a full overworld-size map. Perhaps to avoid reworking the entire endgame you have a dern-only inventory and get a 2nd full playthrough.

The guardian of the forest talks about 2 towers and says it's a shame. There was originally going to be a quest in the corrupted village that would be major but it was scrapped. I made a thread questioning it.

I was just trying to improve the overall Gavel quality, and I might be able to come up with something for Twin Towers. Since Eye of the Storm just comes out of nowhere, and the Realm of Light hints at a dungeon.

The Seed of ??? is basically a more powerful than the other Seeds. I couldn't come up with anything better than Nagarath's Eye. Yeah, my naming skills aren't amazing, so they aren't the best.

I tried to raise the level for Darken Cavern to level 90 or so since, you know, Orphion, is, well, Orphion, so I was trying to make it match up with what the suggested level for the Dern Beast would be. Upping the level and difficulty of the previous quests would be the easiest way.

Yes, with what we currently know, Dern will very surely be the finale. But, that does not mean that they should raise the level cap by such absurd amounts.

What dungeons? You just show Naragath and Orphion here. Also, ingame, dungeons appear around every 10 levels (which brings it to 120), except of course the 65-90 gap which could fit about 2-3 dungeons.

I don't know... that just sounds very otherwordly and unrealistic to me. I don't want to spend 50 levels in an area that looks almost the same everywhere, and raising the cap so high also means a complete rework of the endgame item meta. It would take so much effort, and if an endgame rework is eventually coming, once again, I don't see it happening in the next 7+ years.

Salted stated along time ago that the highest the level cap would go was 110. Implying dern will be from 103 to 110 and Fruma, based off the guards will be level 60.

On a side note, we can basically confirm based off random bits of information that Fruma is indeed coming next (in terms of Fruma vs Dern)
Plus, I dont see a universe where Salted would want to release the climatic ending before whats basically a player prequel.

I literally said endgame items would not matter because you'd have a full new inventory and it would be like starting out fresh
If you go looking at other miscellaneous islands such as tree island, the mobs there are level 60 usually. I think Fruma would start at a higher level than corkus. The level 60 is a mere placeholder.

At that point I wasn't talking about your concept specifically, just the general idea of a new endgame
    ________________________________
Can you be sure of that? 60 would fit, as the player is introduced to a major area around every 20 levels, except for level 60.

I meant the "supposed" dungeon in Dern, where you meet with the Dernic Beast, that is assumed to be the "ending" of the endgame.
