It's pretty obvious that many people that put alot of time and effort into designing their skins would also like to show them off and I feel like especially Wynncraft where people often like to just hang around and chill together in all kinds of places that would be a cool thing to have.

I thought that having a way to toggle your armour invisble would be cool since taking off your armour in several places is dangerous or maybe you would just want to be able to still cast spells and need your armour in order to reach high enough skillpoint stats to use your weapons.

There are multiple ways as off how that could be done. You could simply add a command like /toggle armour to make your armour invisble to others or make it a gear skin that's probably availabe to everyone for free since having that feature limited to players with crate luck seems a little unfair to me. Another way of doing so could be a merchant that you can give your armour to and make it invisible or buy an item there to make armour invisible (like phantom ink from the botania mod).

I honestly have no clue as on how well that could be done but I have faith that there are ways to make this possible.

I'm open for other ideas and please let me know whether you like or dislike this idea by voting in the poll.

    How would you implement it?

You can't make it like gear skins because all armour types are already taken. There is no way to make it invisible without removing it.
(correct me if I am wrong)

The server can be re-coded to not tell other clients about your armor, which would effectively make the armor invisible to all other players. However, that would not make it invisible to the player wearing the armor.

That might be the solution, but I think it wouldn't be worth it (no idea how much work it is though).

It's actually pretty simple to implement something like this. You can just convert the item material/type currently equipped into another type. For instance, if you equip a Helmet, you can turn the item type of that into a Slimeball so it wouldn't show the armor model on you. You can also convert this into an item that is invisible entirely, such as the snow layer block which has no inventory model.

It is. What you do is when a player equips an armor piece, change the type into something else that's invisible and not an armor model. When they take the piece off, revert the item back to its original armor type

I said I don't know how and how well it was possible but due to the way armour used to work somewhen pre gavel I was pretty confident there was a way and thanks to Nova we now have confirmed that it's just a question of what others think about this and what the team thinks in order to get this implemented eventually.
