(It is recommended that you view this thread in dark theme)

With an influx of new players, I've personally started to feel like the ingame skill point system doesn't do a good enough job of teaching players about the benefits and disadvantages of skills. So, I would like to propose changing the text that shows up when you're allocation skill points from this:

    to this:
    ------------------------------------------
    Upgrade your ❊ Agility skill:

    Now: Next:
    50 Points >>>>>> 51 Points

You will have a [40.5%] chance to take no damage upon being attacked (previously 39.9%)
    You will deal
    [40.5%] more ❊ Air Damage (previously 39.9%)
    ------------------------------------------

I'm just using air as an example, but it would look similar for the other 4 skills. It's a bit cleaner IMO, but I'll take suggestions for better formatting options.

But the main reason I wanted to make this thread was so intelligence better conveys its use. The effects of having more intelligence aren't apparent, and can be very hard to calculate unless you know what the base cost of each spell is. So I propose changing the text for intelligence to this:

    ------------------------------------------
    Upgrade your ❉ Intelligence skill:

    Now: Next:
    67 Points >>>>>> 68 Points

You will deal [50.3%] more ❉ Water Damage (previously 49.7%)

    At
68 Int, your Spin Attack spell will cost 3 Mana (currently costs 4 Mana)
    At
68 Int, your Multihit spell will cost 4 Mana (currently costs 5 Mana)
At 68 Int, your Smoke Bomb spell will cost 5 Mana (previously 6 Mana)

(Your current Intelligence makes your spells cost 49.7% less mana of their base costs)

    ------------------------------------------

It will now tell you how much intelligence you need for a spell's cost to decrease. If you haven't unlocked a spell, or its cost can't be lowered, it will not be shown.

Here's another example for a level 2 warrior:

    ------------------------------------------
    Upgrade your ❉ Intelligence skill:

    Now: Next:
    0 Points >>>>>> 1 Points

You will deal [1.0%] more ❉ Water Damage (previously 0.0%)

    At
20 Int, your Bash spell will cost 5 Mana (currently 6 Mana)

(Your current Intelligence makes your spells cost 0.0% less mana of their base costs)

    -----------------------------------------

Currently, I feel like it's difficult for new players to see the effects of intelligence, and possibly other skills, so I'm hoping these QoL changes will help them.

    Current Issues with my suggestion:
    - GUIs may be too large.
    - It may give new players the impression that this server is too complex.

If you have any ideas on how this suggestion can be changed or improved, please let me know. Thanks for reading!

Yes please. Maybe people will finally learn how weak offensive sp is with this.

Then again, expectations are rock bottom at this point.

I think it depends on the build, intelligent is MOSTLY the strongest skill point, but for a Gaia build for example it's not as good. I think most new players just naturally put points in strength and defence like I did, and ignore agility and intelligence; so this would help.
