Lifesteal Success Indicator Particles Are Misplaced

    So today I realized that a heart particle effect appears when lifesteal succeeds. It took me so long to see it because it spawns multiple blocks underneath the player.

    I took a screenshot shortly after the heart spawned (and rose up a little). When you aren't in the air, the heart spawns underground and is completely invisible unless the floor is transparent. The heart effect is cool, but it should be moved up higher so that we can actually see it (like the potion drink hearts effect). It would also be better a little farther in front of the player, so that it's easier to see.

    Bug, but last time someone mentioned particles being misplaced, they said it was intended?
    Specifically, they claimed that the vanish particles spawning 10 blocks above you is a feature, even though it's very clearly not.

    maybe its just trying to appeal to the really tall playerbase; not a lot of minecraft servers do that

    I prefer no particles or very little particle effect. If the heart were high enough to get in the screen it'd get very annoying very fast. Similair things can be seen with player effects which almost nobody has on (I assume for this reason) and the old agility. (Agility used to proc slime particles every time it activated but that was removed.)

    I think the visual change of seeing your health go up is plenty of visual feedback for something that happens every 4 seconds.
