World Reliving Quests?

So hi, I was reading a thread about quests, and I had an idea. So I think that most quests are client side, otherwise some quests may pit quite a bit of lag on the server. What if there was a command or an option in the menu bar that let’s you see cutscenes again? Obviously you will have to complete said quest and seen said cutscene, I will modify this according to criticism.

 

From playing with my friend I can say that quests are not client side. this would still work but everyone would see the cut scene.

 

Oh ok, what about a cool down time so it isn’t commuting lag on the server?

 

I mean yeah but I don't think cutscenes cause too much lag but my bigger question is how many cutscenes from quests would you want to see. I can only think of maybe a couple from D&D and thats it that would even make that much of a difference if you can see them again.

 

I don't know if this would really be that useful, but I've had enough cutscenes blocked by someone else or lag, I wouldn't mind being to go back and re-watch them, or if you're trying to piece together a lore theory or something, this would be helpful.

Apart from the cutscenes about Dern (cringey and fun) they're not great, so I personally would never go "Ah yes, time to rewatch that fantastic cutscene from Temple of Legends when the monster arrives", and how would this work? Would it be in a theatre or something and they had to code every single cutscene again, or would you just get teleported to the location and potentially mess up a quest.

I think the suggestion is an idea I can see someone would want, and it's a fine idea; but unfortunately technically impossible.

 

It would be nice in some cases, like discoveries?(I think some are only one time) or one-time things that are pretty cool, you never know when you might need to refer back to one. Also, if this could be extended to certain things like going back to death's realm and other cool quest areas, that would be cool- it'd be nice to explore more in some places

Even the special/secret ones? I don't really know, I haven't done a lot of them. At any rate, I'd love to be able to go back the the trippy light forest and death's realm, that'd be pretty cool so I'd support the suggestion in general

 

Oh i am 100% supporting even though it may not seem like it. I am 99% sure you can watch ultimate discovery cut scenes multiple times

 

I don't think this is impossible, you say the command blockers will have to decide the scene, but it’s just a easy recode, but there aren’t that many cutscenes

Or here’s a chad idea, when you complete recover the past you gain access to the memory orb thingy, and you can see all the cutscenes

Now THERE'S an idea. This would actually make some sense, like you can relive your past. There could be a pile of books as an npc shop, and you just click which one you want to view. My only concern is that then you would be with other people in that cage, which is sometimes annoying for newer players (I had the bad luck of doing garaheth the same time as someone else on the same server, so they'd need to make everyone invisible in that box.

Well you'd have to complete each quest to be able to see the cutscenes
