How are you going to know what belongs here and what into Nemract bar? And how would they know?

Maybe add something like the "Report a Bug" guide?

well the problem is that people who post low effort content are never aware that what they post is low effort content
I'm not a mod and people clearly don't read anything anyway

I think that a full on ban for class suggestions is unnecessary. Speaking as someone who did a few back while I was a new forumer, they aren't really made with the expectation of being added (although Shaman hasn't helped with that); they're mostly made as proof of concepts for ideas that people think would be cool. It's also a pretty decent way for new forumers to get more used to the community (Hell, part of the reason I got into these forums was because I could get engaged in conversations on my own terms whenever I made a class suggestion).

That said, I do think that something should be done. I think that the best course of action would be to make megathreads for some of the more popular suggestions, like the one we have for Guild feedback. Whenever someone makes a suggestion that should fall into the megathread category, redirect them to it and lock/delete the thread. Also, maybe a partial ban on Necromancer classes specifically; It's both lore-breaking and uncreative.

Also, I think it might be smart pinning the really popular shaman class suggestion from a while back, or my thread about the 1.19 assassin changes, with a note. It might be a good way to set expectations about people's suggestions- even if your idea isn't implemented in the way you think it will or initially wanted it to, the feedback is still appreciated and used. But at the same time, they need to have actual effort put into them, and you need to explain why your suggestion should be considered, and what issue it fills.

I think new classes suggestions needs to be more unique and not really the same. For example, Barbarian, paladin, and fighter are the same as warrior, same as archmage. It needs to be unique and be different from a class. For example if you say barbarian has less defense and more attack, you can do that with builds. Shaman attacks with 3 bolts and new spell mechanics like the totem and is with nature, archer is long range that attacks with arrows, assassin can vanish and do lots of damage with it’s spells, and warrior is really high on defense and helps people from dieing, mage’s attack can pierce through enemies and heals people. If we need a new class, we need new mechanic that is different from what classes we have right now. The one I can find right now is summoner and bard class, summoner would definitely be a new mechanic and bard is intresting.

Maybe not completely restrict new classes, maybe just add a new section to the forums (like the Feedback section), so that when you're looking for actual GOOD suggestions, you don't have to scroll past someone's stupid idea of a balanced class.
