Recently, I got a nifty new pair of golden boots. I'd love to equip it, but the only problem is, it doesn't do anything whatsoever and I can't see the rest of the requirements no matter how low I put it in my inventory. I'd love to post a picture, but I can't until I have 10 posts.

An idea: armor and weapons aren't stackable, so if you right-clicked them it'd be great if it opened up a much bigger panel to display the items statistics so you can actually see them. Any other key/button press would work; it's just ridiculous that we can't even see the requirements or name of an item we want if it has an insanely long description.

Either do what chigo says, or you can shrink your MC window to very tall vertically but not wide. It's more of a temporary fix though. Also, you can use the wynntils mod and tooltips become scrollable

I used to have trouble with this too, like Chigo_ said change your gui scale in the Minecraft settings, normal should be ok I reckon.
