Long-term Plan To Switch Host

So, I had this idea today when I saw a streamer adding 1 dollar to the prize poll of an event for each subscription he got in certain period. Maybe wynncraft can do this with their purchases. Ex. 5% of every store purchase will be destined to a long term plan to switch the host.

I don't know if the devs already have this plan or not, but I sensed that Salted is unsatisfied with the host from more than a year, but to change the host is very costly and difficult and cant be considered a solution to the current lag, just an investment to a better future.

Even if this is already included in Wynncraft’s budget, I believe that publicly stating that x dollars with every y dollar purchase will be destined to a long term goal to change the host and better lag will stimulate people to buy more. I personally fell more attracted to contribute to a server when I know that my money will be reinvested to better the experience.

Anyway, I felt the urge to create this thread to stimulate a discussion in this topic and any contribution is welcome!

 

What about announcing collection on it?

You meant if they buy a rank, some of the money will go to change the host
I meant just collection, like charity

 

Oh, I see know. I dont think a donation campaign will have a big impact, but it is definitely an alternative.

 

It's not charity if they're buying something, he basically means 5% of all the money Wynncraft collects from ranks, purchases and donations will go towards getting a better host to maybe reduce lag!

but about the idea, it could actually end up very well and i don't mind it even though i probably can barely contribute anything.
Either way the idea of a long or mid-term donation campaign to get a better budget and a better host is a good one imo.

 

This idea was created because of that post, so I believe the OP is aware. It's a good idea regardless imo. I would support the server but my credit card is declined :/
