give them rewards that benefit the player themselves, and not just the guild as a whole. not more guild slots, like give rewards to the guilds with the most territories or some shit. Guilds are a vital part of endgame, and I think it shouldn't be wasted by just giving rewards to only the guild system itself. Give a better incentive so people will play longer.

(tbh if actual rewards were added to guilds, I would come back and play wynn)

    edit for more detail:
for rewards, every month, perhaps give them to each player in a guild based on their 1) number of wars, 2) grinded xp, and 3) donation of emeralds. How you would choose which guilds get these rewards vary but, I think a simple but somewhat abusable system is just choosing the top guilds with the most territories. I know this system only supports the big guilds to just farm rewards but, maybe lessen the rewards the more times you get it. And rewards would entirely reset every 6 months, so that these top guilds still have incentive to get these rewards.

just my suggestion, feel free to critique it.

The guild is the reward. The community, the friends you make.

yeah i know but like I think people who aren't too into the guild community aspect, still want to be rewarded for their hard work. This reward system incentives more ppl to join guilds and participate, and keeps the playerbase more active by incentives rewards upon players who keep it up.

I don't want to be forced to play with others so I can get rewards. It would be cool if being part of a guild got you a cosmetic based on the guild flag (maybe a cape made from the guild banner) but regardless, like Skylaar said, the incentive is the community which based on how popular guilds are, I would say it's enough of an incentive as is.

Additionally, ranking players and giving rewards based on certain actions only benefits certain players anyways. For emerald ranking, it would be essentially a bidding war, for war participation only high ranking guild members could compete since they need to be around to start wars in the first place and for guild XP only level 105/6 players would ever have a chance.

A system like this would also be super easy to abuse and would actively discourage guilds since being the only one in a guild would allow a player to easily get all the rewards. By being in a guild, you would actually need to compete when you could instead be a solo instead and get the rewards for free. You could make it require a set number of people in a guild for rewards to be given, but that wouldn't stop people from filling up guilds with dead accounts or stop people from taking turns for getting rewards or doing countless other things to rig the system. Basically, this whole idea would only make the "problem" you want to solve worse.

Next, rewarding guild members should be done on a guild by guild basis anyways. If leaders of guilds think players need to be rewarded to keep them playing, they can make their own reward programs. I was part of HAX and their promotion program was a good example of this, where the more stuff you do the higher your rank goes. My point is, if you want players in your guild to be rewarded, you should use guild resources to reward them, not expect some magical items to appear out of nowhere.

Finally, add a poll. You can't actually get valid feedback unless you can tell how many people agree or disagree.

Whilst I do like this idea I feel that this would make guilds more competitive and divide the community even more than the crafting update did, that's not to say I don't like and I do agree that guilds need to be changed and possibly have a reward system, I don't like the idea of lessen rewards either as I think that wouldn't make too much sense in the long run but I understand your reasoning behind it. Thanks for sharing!

Eh, online friends aren't always the best, usually temporary. Guilds in other games and servers usually have some sort of reward system, although I understand your opinion.

It does sound a bit like it would cause that for sure lol

I think it's defininitely a valid point about being forced and feeling a need to play with others in a guild, I think maybe cosmetics could work too (?) and I think that if they were implemented they would have to be fair to smaller guilds too.
I especially understand this point you have:

"A system like this would also be super easy to abuse and would actively discourage guilds since being the only one in a guild would allow a player to easily get all the rewards"

Maybe they could have a system where if you kill any mob that gives you xp that would give you ONE POINT in a sort of brief tournament thing (only ones which give xp to stop high levels killing anything more than like 30 lvls beneath them)

I briefly mentioned having a guild cosmetic for all the members in a guild, but with that being said I think it has been made very clear that cosmetics are never going to be given as rewards. I think it would be cool to have cosmetics you can earn by playing, but it probably won't ever happen so there isn't really a point to discussing it.

As for creating a system which can't be abused, I still don't think it can be done. Even in your suggestion, it doesn't really fix the one man guild problem since all it would take is the one guy killing one single mob in a war and calling it a day. They could set a minimum size requirement, but then a line needs to be drawn and that can cause problems.

Beyond all that, I still think my point of it being unneeded stands. The devs could implement a system like this, but so far there hasn't really been a good reason as to why they should. At no point in the suggestion is it ever suggested what the rewards would be (which is really important) or how they would be distributed beyond a few vague statements about reducing rewards over time and maybe having a ranking system (which is also really important). As it is now, there's literally no point to this suggestion.

Also, I want to be crystal clear that I'm not disagreeing with your (Stormking's) good points, I just wanted to use your discussion to further develope my ideas.

Thanks for your response man, I actually was trying to say something like instead of guild xp we could have days where we did like who could kill the most mobs or something but I described it really badly looking back lol, and I'm not entirely sure it would work.

Maybe something like T3 crates to every member of the top 10 guilds, T2 to the 10 next and T3 for the 10 next could work!
