I think the empty spot would be nice for a backpack, it will first only hold 1 item, and maybe with some profession you can keep upgrading it to hold more stuff, maybe at very max level it can be like an entire chest

That was the intention of the gathering pouch: now you don't have to worry about ingredients filling up your inventory anymore! Also, Ironman players can put any item in the pouch, so adding another set of inventory spaces just wouldn't work, in my opinion

I think it would be great, Im sorta new to the server but my inventory gets full wayyyyy to quick. I have to go back to my bank too many times to put my emeralds, crafting ingredients dungeon items and undiscovered loot away etc. This is unhealthy compared to other mmorpg games - All mmorpg games I know have big backpacks implemented. I also think they can easily balance it with needing a profession to upgrade the backpack.

Yeah since the slot isn't being used right now it would be perfect for a backpack. And idk how they would make it so you can't see it in your off-hand but I hope they can with maybe the texturepack or command blocks.

Tbh running back to a city during a lootrun isn't that big of a problem for me. I loorun around Troms Jungle with its 6 loot chest caves and my inventory probably fills up 3 times during that span of time.
Also, one thing to remember: Wynncraft is not like other mmorpgs. It is built in Minecraft, and it goes its own way. We already have a pouch, we don't need another. I agree with TrapinchO's idea of using that slot for something else.

If your inventory gets full so fast, then you have some inventory management issues, also crafting ingredients go in your pouch instantly (if you're looting from a chest, simply click the ingredient once so it can go in your pouch, and do NOT shift-click) Backpacks in Wynncraft feel far from necessary, also are you not realizing the problem that the offhand slot creates? It makes it so you're holding another item in your hand, it could cancel right-clicks and take up more space on your screen, a backpack would not be a good idea to put there. Also, Ironman mode allows you to put any item in your pouch, and adding a backpack would just make the pouch seem more useless. Leveling up the backpack through a profession is a big no-no, it should just get more slots when you level up your combat, a entire system for leveling it up doesn't seem worth it. The backpack in general just seems like a overused suggestion, inventory management in Wynn was never a nuisance (well, it was when the ingredient pouch didn't exist)

    Hello,
I was thinking of using a profession that already exists like tailoring or something and that you can already use the tailoring station for example. But levelling the backpack from levelling up from combat is also a good ideea.

Ironman players are already experienced enough in the game to know what is useless and what isn't. Players like me that haven't even finished the game once don't know what they need and what they don't need. Also I don't understand why ironman players have access to different items in the ingredient pouch in the first place.

Like I said in my other comment with the use of command blocks or an empty texture when holding it installed in the Wynncraft texture pack should be doable so you don't see the backpack on your screen. And to ''are you not realizing the problem that the offhand slot creates?''. Do you not read other comments in a thread so you know if your question already gets answered or if someone else already asked the question?

And sorry for my mistake. I meant crafting materials not crafting ingredients. They don't go in your pouch. I be going on quests and dungeons with a fully whiped inventory, my weapon, some money, a potion or two and teleport scrolls. That is only like 5 slots im using. After quests or dungeons my entire inventory gets fully filled from allot of crap they drop and I have to get back to my bank.

Also it would not cancel any right click properties if they use a non right clickable item for the backpack texture.

Ironman players can't access their bank, while it is technically a always moving bank, it's much smaller

I once saw Selvut say that your inventory filling up causing you to go back to a town is intentional. I personally agree with this, it ensures you don't go around mindlessly picking up every item you stumble upon, it segments the game by having you go back to town, and it encourages conscience decisions about what item you believe *you* need. you do not need every item in the game and not being able to hold so many at once is perfectly fine, you have to choose what items you think you will need the most and go from there. more inventory space in the form of a backpack just seems unnecessary to me, as the existing inventory is enough and easier to balance said gameplay loop around.

assuming you're not gathering, you will probably have 20 open slots, assuming in your hotbar you have a weapon, 4 potions and a horse, as well as 2 slots for emeralds. 20 open slots for whatever items you decide is perfectly enough; I see myself exploring very often, searching nooks and crannies of obscure areas far from any banks, and I never get to a point where I have so many items that I just MUST keep where I can't just drop a few uniques to pick up some rares.

one issue indirectly hurting limited inventory space I feel though, is that unidentified items are just too common. I tend to come across way too many uniques and rares while just casually exploring, and I do see it getting overwhelming for new players who don't understand how common said items are. basically, I'm perfectly fine with limited inventory space and even support its reasoning, although I feel like lesser items need to be more rare.

My only issue with this is that I enjoy collecting emeralds. this one time I was travelling by the ocean side of Mummy's Tomb and found 2 different loot chests that had been filled completely. I had to leave a lot of stuff behind, (emeralds, chests, armour, etc) It was sad.
