Fix Sorcery

    Okay, so the concept is pretty simple, but it is incredibly difficult to use Time Rift because a lot of the time due to the nature of melee attacks, you use them a lot, possibly accidentally between spells, and since currently Sorcery counts those as spells, they can cast randomly with no way of you stopping it, which if you didn't know, cancels any other spell you were casting.

    This essentially makes playing with time rift a total gamble, because at any time your spell could get cancelled and you could cast the wrong spell, or no spell, which very often is what gets you killed.

    EDIT: After further thinking, and reading comments, I agree that instead if removing melee attacks, the change should be that it simply doesnt cancel our spells, so yeah

    Melee attacks on Sorcery allows for many more options for the major ID, rather than just being a single-use stat.

    Also, this happens with spells too so there's nothing special about melee.

    Melee is coded as a zero mana spell, so they might not be able to stop it from triggering from sorcery.

    I thought of Time Rift and Sorcery when he started talking but then I started thinking about Pandemonium since he talked about casting spells and melee attacks since they count as spells lol

    Im sure if they specifically coded to not cast the spells that are melee attacks they could. Id be extremely surprised if they couldnt.


    I havent noticed it cancel my click combos when it casts other spells, though I might be wrong.
    Stopping it from melee attacking doesnt limit it, it increases the chance if anything for you to cast a meaningful spell, rather than a random and almost certainly not aimed melee attack instead of say, teleporting away from Cybel, or casting an ice snake at CoW. Sorcery right now is an extreme hassle to use simply because it could decide to roll your melee 5 times and have you just standing there unable to cast

    I think that it’s fine and allows for some gimmicky builds as is

    BUT

    If they do do this, they should also disable it on movement spells because vanish in particular is super goddamn janky with Sorcery

    Imo its fine. In my use of it i've not had any issue with it...NOW MOVEMENT SPELLS ON THE OTHER HAND

    imo affecting all spells is an appropriate tradeoff (but the click pattern canceling needs to be fixed)

    At the very least, fix it so sorcery’s vanish cast doesn’t remove your invisibility because that shit’s awful
