    Disclosure:
I am not a member of the Wynn content team, so please do not expect this to be perfect and releasable. To those well versed in powders, feel free to tweak anything. I used the powder information guide to reference my powder chart, I promised I didn’t pull the numbers out of my ass.

    Introduction:
With this idea being introduced into the game with Road to Dern’s entry quest, A Journey Beyond, I feel light and dark powders should be introduced into the game. This will excite the builder community of Wynn along those seeking something new and exciting. This is also a new way to introduce quests for specialized merchants, a common way to place something into Wynn as of lately. I’ve worked out a brief outline of how light and dark powders will work, their specials, damages and miscellaneous details. I’ll start with Dark:

    Dark Element:
As common knowledge may serve, darkness is associated with death, decay, and of course, black. With Dernic origins, I feel this powder should only be found in its province and be a bit rarer compared to other powders. A level minimum should also be put into place.
Powder Damage(Under revision): Obviously, it will contradict its counterpoint, light powder. Its damage will be more steady compared to the other, original powders.
    Powder Damage chart: https://imgur.com/a/RD7cZDI
Powder Special: As said above, darkness is associated with decay. With your chosen ‘weapon of darkness,’ the powder special will activate an immobilization or slowness of enemies for a short duration (2-5 seconds). I decided to give it a generic name of Decay.
Powder Effects: A thin, black cloud will surround affected enemies, showing the cloud of ‘darkness’ will corrode their life force.
Powder Skill Point Special: Each point invested in this element will grant a certain percent of a chance to slow.
Other: The powder color should be black, and its shape, a triangle with rounded corners and a divot on the sides and bottom. The dark element should also work best with life a hybrid build; a good deal of life steal along a steady stream of spells.

    Light Element:
Light is a symbol of healing, renewal, and purity, and should serve its color as white. I feel this powder would be best suited to reside in the Light Realm or sky islands.
Powder Damage: With similarities to air and thunder, this powder will have a bit of a varying chart
    Powder Damage Chart: https://imgur.com/a/Z1v8uAc
Powder Special(I’ve created 2 possibilities): (1) When a player is equipped with a weapon with light powders, they will recover a piece of missing health (depending on health number) when it is discharged from the user. (2) When the light element is charged and released, it will blind an enemy for 7 seconds, allowing the user to proc damage without receiving some themselves. I’ve given the first powder special possibility the name of Divine Aid, and the second one Purification.
Powder Skill Point Special: Depending on how many skill points are invested into the element, it will give a chance to blind an enemy.
Other: This would best be used with a heavy spell build that has low defenses (archer or shaman). The color should be white (air can be changed to grey) and its symbol could state as a sun-shaped figure or a small circle with a larger half circle coating its bottom.

    Quest Idea/Other Information:
I personally have not figured out an interesting questline to implicate these additions into Wynn, though I have a brief idea of the endings and the rewards. I most likely will conjure the outline for it soon, though I have an idea of the outcome: A single merchant will reside in both Dern and the Light Realm, warning the players of how dangerous it is to handle the powders. Upon completion of each quest, the individual will receive a powder according to the quest they completed. Applying the powders to merchants will also have an escalated price compared to the 5 originals. Players will be unable to access these merchants if they have not completed the quests to receive access to them, but will be allowed to find both dark and light powders without completing the quest, but cannot place the powders onto items. The level requirements should also be mid to late game.

    End Notes:
As stated in the disclosure, I am no expert on this subject, so please feel free to rebalance or design anything you’d like. Criticism is welcomed in this thread. Thank you for reading! :)

I like the idea overall. However, I wouldn't have skill points with either of these, I don't think it would be good to do it that way, unless they were done differently.

It's nicely thought out and pretty high quality, but I don't like the idea at all.

I have a small thing to add to this.
    Void Element:
This would be an opposite to Thunder.
    Color: Purple
Powder: Damage/Defense should be almost constant.
Attack Special: Black Hole: When triggered, the attacked mob will take far knockback, and when they land, nearby mobs will be pulled towards it and take damage for a few seconds.
Armor Special: Etherial Presence: Damage you deal to mobs increases for each current point of mana you have.
Attribute: Wisdom. Each point in Wisdom increases spell damage by a certain amount.

If light becomes as stupidly important as int, I'm up for it!

What IDs would the light and dark elements be associated with?

This sounds very nice. However, as of right now there are no light-dark enemies in the game. Implementing this now would basically make it glorified Neutral damage. Perhaps if Dern comes out and it brings along light-dark enemies, we could see this come into play.

Its not... It's associate more specifically with dern.
The Decoy is more just rot, caused by the roots of greed, it doesn't have much to do with actual darkness.

I think light would be good with a hyper carry spell build, and dark could be flexible. Though I feel some aspect of life steal should be in the builds.
