    Class Building Vocabulary
    this started as a meme but now it's the best resource for class building terms wtf.

    reasons for the move:
    - Much easier to maintain (no wrestling with bbcode)
    - searchability
    - long forum threads SUCK

    it's still in the spoiler below though.
    Simple Terms:
    i know it looks super basic but keep reading ;;
    melee:
    Hitting things with your weapon. Also known as Main Attack, Basic Attack, or Auto Attack.

    spell:
    Hitting things with spells.

    ms:
    Mana Steal.

    mr:
    Mana Regen.

    mixed mana:
    Both ms and mr in significant quantities.

    hpr:
    Health (Point) Regen.

    ls:
    Life Steal.

    ws:
    Walk Speed.

    jh:
    Jump Height.

    sp:
    Can mean either Skill Points or Soul Points. Mind the context!

    spr:
    Soul Point Regen.

    reqs:
    Requirements. (skill point requirements)

    raw (melee, spell, hpr):
    Just the non-% version of the stats. Neutral melee, neutral spell, numerical hpr.

    sd:
    Short for Spell Damage.

    sustain:
    Some form of recovery. HPR/LS for health, MR/MS for mana.

    ehp:
    Effective HP, your total bulk considering defensive skillpoints.

    els/ehpr:
    Effective lifesteal and effective health regen. Doesn't really deserve two entries so >:(

    ETWFA and other letter combinations:
    Combinations of skillpoints/elements in a build or item. EWA = Earth/Water/Air, etc.
    Please stick to ETWFA order, it's the standard because it's the same order as the skillpoint menu.
    If some letters are lowercase and some uppercase, it usually means the uppercase letters are more emphasized. This is seen in quads where the only component that makes it a quad is one item with a smallish req, like eTWF being used for builds where it's TWF + draoi fair (strength requirement)

    mono/duo/tri/quad/penta:
    1/2/3/4/5 element combos.
    Big distinction between Penta and Rainbow: Penta uses no rainbow items, so it's a build that has all skillpoint reqs but no items that require all skillpoints.
    Do NOT assume that multi-element combos have to do multi-element damage.

    rainbow:
    Weapons with all the elements.
    Items with requirements in every skillpoint.
    Builds utilizing the above.

    powder special:
    The ability unlocked by putting two t4+ powders on an item.

    Types of Builds
    could be better
    spell spam:
    As much mana regen and intelligence as possible to... spam spells.

    glass cannon:
    ETW builds naturally become glass cannon builds, since they're purely offensive elements.
    It can also be used to describe building while ignoring bulk.

    rawstack:

    raw melee + super fast weapon.

    tierstack (tstack):
    super slow big damage weapon + attack speed = super fast big damage weapon :)

    heavy melee (hm):
    Negative attack speed can only make you go down to Super Slow, so you can stack -attack speed items that give you lots of raw melee damage and do massive damage with the Earth powder special Quake.
    Benefits greatly from Assassin's vanish boost.

    cancelstack (cstack):
    Heavy melee items (lots of -tier, lots of raw damage) with tierstack items (+tier) and a super fast weapon to do big damage.

    hybrid:
    Any build that uses both spell and melee. The melee aspect can be for damage or for mana steal.
    It's a pretty wide category that includes some of the ones below:

    true hybrid:
    A type of hybrid.
    Having good spell and melee damage.
    The term "True Hybrid" is being used less and less as the blanket term "Hybrid" or the more specific "Heavy Hybrid"/"Fast Hybrid" are used instead for having both damages.

    spell steal/spellsteal:
    A type of hybrid.
    Mana Steal-based spell. Often uses -tier items for better mana steal chance per hit and more time to weave in spells between melees.

    fast hybrid
    A type of hybrid.
    Having both spell and melee damage with faster attack speeds (usually super fast). Your CPS and input accuracy have to be really high to play this to its full potential.
    Many consider this to be the peak of Wynncraft.

    heavy hybrid:
    A type of hybrid.
    Having both spell and melee damage with slower attack speeds (usually super slow). Similar to Spell Steal, but with significant melee damage.

    void:
    Not a build type. Revamp name of EWA. (please don't use revamp names)

    0 int spell/intless spell:
    Uses -spellcost items to have low cost spells without any intelligence. Also called TFA spell or variants of it.

    heavy poison
    Super slow poison (concept is slow spreading high damage) or something like that.

    heavy spell
    Doesn't truly exist, at least right now.
    Would probably be spellcost increases paired with high spell damage.

    setting standards

    base damage

    The damage listed on a weapon.

    base dps (what's usually called "base")
    DPS of a weapon (factoring in attack speed). What spell calculations are based on*

    More broken than laggy wynncraft bosses.
    No 0 req item that can go in any armor slot should have that much hp, defenses, and raw melee/spell.
    It basically promotes degenerate building
    the worst thing since rainbow slap, at least most rainbow slap items have reqs
    and vaward isn't even close to as powerful

    uh it's a bit strong, I guess


    Edit: No longer valid after the ornate nerf, which was a while ago

    Warrior still suffers from only going 3 blocks high, if there is no lag. With a bit of lag you go up to 1.5 blocks. With insane lag you go up to 20 blocks.

    even the lobby pressure plates in lag, a full stack of those can send you flying

    define rainbow slap
    ive never heard anyone use the term "true tank" it's usually full-tank and your definition doesnt mention agi and life steal isnt on the thread at all

    I just realized that they could add a pretty sick ID to help balance melee builds. Main attack (spell #0) cost zero Mana, but we could get the ID of main attack cost: -1 means it would give 1 Mana every hit, and +1 means it would take 1 Mana from your bar every hit.

    you should probably add something about "sustain" as well

    life steal and health regen--or in the case of mage and shaman, possibly mana regen, water damage, and mana steal--can be classified as "sustain", the ability to survive over time

    sustain is basically necessary for tanks, as it gives them the ability to recover and keep going even after taking lots of damage
    giving sustain to a glass cannon puts it in a grey area that i like to call "semi-glass cannon", as the risk of being one shot still exists, but as long as he enemy can't do too much damage per second, recovery is still easily possible.
