Wynncraft Book

Am I the only one or does wynncraft need a book of the story bv. of the story from the twain brothers
or from bob

 

Yo I came here from your post on Reddit. People would love it and I bet you could find people to help if you need it and plenty of people who want to buy it!

 

I'd like the story to be exposed through playing the game and experiencing the content rather than just read on a series of pieces of paper

 

Well yeah, it wouldn't be mandatory to buy some book (I assume this thread is for irl).
Tbh this would be really cool and could piece together some holes in the lore and pull together separate parts of it, i.e. The rulers in wynn, more on bak'al etc.

 

that could all be done in game itself, without creating a physical thing you spend money on, and would probably be done better anyway

 

Then perhaps like a final lore room (like the secret libraries) once you 'beat' the game in which you can read it if you wanted to?

 

why should all the lore just be dumped in one place at all, whether it be a book or a massive library? I'd prefer it to be shown, not told. things like discoveries and some of the newer quests are already working on this stuff, it's just that they only come out every update

 

Im just sayin it would be nice if it was all tied together in a way people can read aside from clicking on wikipage to wikipage or forum page to forum page. Take gavel as an example, no secret discoveries, so no lore room. The only real way to know it is to remember, im sure we can all remember major parts but smaller ones solely from questing, nah. It'd be nice to have it all in one place.

 

Wynncraft's lore is revised and modified frequently to be better. A book would be like Mojang's official minecraft guides, outdated pretty quickly.

 

You know what would be really cool? A book in the point of view of the recruit. With the story of the recruit and their adventures. Maybe even as a series. And hey, any changes in lore or new quests can be added simply by the main chaaracter discovering it while adventuring.

 

In addition to the other issues pointed out, they actively try to reveal it slowly and carefully, often primarily to those who do a bit of adventuring and explore everywhere. A book that spells it out would make that far less rewarding and fun.

 

I'd definitely purchase a hard copy book that shows all of Wynn's lore and where you can find it ingame. Although, I'd want it to be as if it was a players notes as they ponder the origins and histories of Wynn. Similarly to Hollow Knight's Wanderer's Journal, which you can purchase on some websites.

Alternatively, I completely missed what was being suggested here. Anyways...

 

Sure, I'd love there to be an official book about Wynncraft. The thing is, Wynncraft's lore is just that: lore. A lot of it is small tidbits of information from all over the place, so you could only write proper stories about the long storylines that are already there. But then it would still be a secondary thing, way too dependant on the source material.

 

Gavel does have a secret discovery.... and it’s literally a library telling the story of all the provinces....

 

I don't think that's how history works... I mean unless we can go back in time? (I'm making a joke just to clarify, I'm dumb)

so.... do you mean a book that you would find, such as llevigars library; or in a secret discovery, like the wynn plains ultimate discovery; or do you mean a book that your character has all throughout that updates according to how far you got throughout the story (lore updated) because i prefer just reading descriptions in discoveries.

EDIT: oh wait sorry i didnt realise that you mean a physical book, but surely people wouldnt want to spend money on something that they could find in game, or just on the forums?

 

well, first of all wynncraft needs to fix its lore
