There is a good point made here. Disguises are a pretty sizable benefit.

 

yeah, sure, i agree that they should be disabled in hunted, but honestly, it's really not that difficult to play around them. just use... maybe... 5 brain cells? i think that's sufficient

I am genuinely confused on why this thread is so controversial, cosmetic items should not be giving in game benefits. +1

 

At first, I thought this would be yet another "wah wah I keep dying in hunted it should be removed" whining thread, but this is a genuine problem that needs to be fixed.

hmmmm, you have a good point
I'll admit, i got lucky and got a chicken disguise from a monthly crate but i understand quite a few don't
More importantly i got the legendary cow

A few points however:
It isn't really 'pay to win' if you can turn off hunted mode, but i still see your point, so don't take this one personally
F3 + B? (show hitboxes)
Wynncraft can't really turn a player into a chicken without mods so try hitting normally, they're actually just invisible with a chicken where they're standing

Eh, I don't really agree all classes have good mobility spells and knockback/invisability ones so, you can escape to some place not full of weed and see the nametag even if inside of weed, + you can just spam AOE attacks until whatever is attacking you is dead.

 

I think one people forget with disguises is how much easier it can become to hide and still attack players while disguised. As a chicken for example all you have to do is hide behind something which has a lot of cover on 1 side and is 1 block tall on the other, and bam you are now extremely hard to hit while everyone else is easy to hit. So yes disguises do give a lot more benefits. Also if you ever have to use the show hitboxes option to kill a player. Then you most likely have a broken mechanic because showing hitboxes should never be required to kill a player just because they have a cosmetic option enabled. So i'm of the mind disguises can't be used in hunted mode at all and should just be disabled. Until hitboxes are fixed anyway.

still it's a 1 tall thing, an archer chicken could hide like anywhere behind a block and you would never know

Yes, the player hitbox stays the same 2 tall, so you can hit the chicken, but the hitting isn't the problem but the visibility. also you can't see the player's normal hitbox while they are disguised if you're wondering

can't escape if you get crippled/instakilled, i had 11k hp and some psycho chicken dude behind a tree arrow stormed me and i was hella lucky to get away with 600 hp
