then why not just allow refunds (or chargebacks) but take back the item?

 

Not all items can be easily refunded. Consumable items, such as crates and bombs, are near impossible to refund. Chargebacks will most likely never be allowed. Unlike refunds, you would bypass having to contact Wynncraft Support to get your money back. Ultimately, it's up to the administrators to decide their store policies. Until they decide to modify their Terms of Service to allow refunds, all transactions are final.

Can’t you make it so you need a 6 digit code that changes every 45 minutes to make a purchase? On wynncraft you type in /code then when it asks you for your name on the store it also asks you for the code type it in and done!

 

You wouldn't be able to gift anything, and that doesn't even solve the issue. I could get the code then do it still

 

You’d tell the people who you trust the code to buy for you

 

this has been used before on factions servers but who plays factions anymore there should be a option to preview profile before buying ? maybe show skins or stats of player ? I remember this one server that if you where to buy stuff before you where to purchase there was this 3d model of the players skin and stats and a checkbox to confirm that its you're account I cant rlly remember the server tho

 

Ah, sorry about that. I don't believe this is a common issue, and I don't know whether or not this had actually happened, but I wouldn't be surprised if it has already occurred to someone.

While you technically could, it removes the element of surprise in some ways. Implementing a system like this without gifting would remove the ability to surprise people with gifts, and, instead, your only option would be to inform the recipient that you would be purchasing an item for them.

 

but anyways for this to happen you'd probs need to have a bank account and someone with that probs would be mature enough to do that

Allow me to pose a scenario, and you guys can debate how under OP's suggestion, this would be handled:

Person A creates an alt account and buys a bomb gift package for their account
Person A then sends the gift to Person B
Person A would presumeably have some connection to person B, and be aware if and/or when they use the gifted bombs
Person A waits for Person B to use all the gifted bombs
Person A then issues a chargeback on the bomb gift package

What happens?

 

To be honest, I've never thought of this possible scenario while creating this suggestion. This is a complex scenario requiring knowledge that I don't have to provide a precise solution to this case. I'm very curious as to what others may bring up to address this scenario.
