Beasts From Below is a grind spot in northwestern Olux Swamp, which I'll compare to the Ember Spawn grind spot near the Herb Cave.

    Beasts From Below has:
    - Tankier mobs (about 50% more health).
    - More dangerous unless your walkspeed is extremely slow (Beasts From Below are very slow while Ember Spawn are about normal speed, but Beasts From Below do more damage, and have Pull spell, while Ember Spawn just has non-heavy Charge spell).
    - Give about 30% more xp
    - Spawn at a much lower rate. As a melee mage with level 40s gear (Super Fast with ~200 raw melee), I had cleared out the spot within a few minutes to the point where I'd spend several seconds sitting around, only for a single mob to spawn, which I would kill in about 5-7 seconds, rinse and repeat. Ember Spawn produces roughly twice to three times as many mobs, and doesn't run out rapidly.

Honestly, it's more just a lot of grind spots need a buff. The problem with most of the grind spots is that they are more of high risk/mediocre reward , or just little risk/little reward, rather than their supposed high risk/high reward style. The only one imo that really hits the mark as a true "high risk, high reward" is the spot next to the start of "A Marauder's Dues", as the cannoneers can basically one-two shot you and everything is extremely tanky, but it gives an insane amount of xp per kill (honestly having a higher xp rate than CUC at level).

Compare that to say, the notorious grind spot next to Ice Barrows, where it's basically just entirely risk because of how fast and heavy damaging the turrets are despite their low xp rate due to the fact that they really don't give that much xp even when you do manage to kill one. No sane person would legitimately grind there unless they were A. too lazy to run Ice Barrows or didn't have the adequate gear to do it solo (and if you don't have that then have fun with the turrets, unless you camp as an Archer on a tree or something like that) and/or B. they didn't know about the grind spot next to Lusuco with a some risk/high reward system (or the alternative one that doesn't count as a grind spot, but still is pretty good).

The ones that need the largest buff (excluding the one listed above) imo are those in the 60-75 ish range. There is basically no reason to use any of the grind spots in the Dernel Jungle or the Dark Forest because they don't have a good reward value at all (including the ones with a high risk, like the zombies in Dernel with ~15k hp and all elemental defenses). I originally was going to make a tier list of all the grind spots in Wynn (since I quit due to lack of content I stopped before it was finished), but I could probably go find my notes on quite a few of them, specifically these ones. Iirc though, all of these spots get easily outshined by two specific areas, a.k.a the Flesh Cave and Corrupted Decrepit Sewers. Sure, you could argue CDS is a high risk/high reward on its own, but seeing as on average you can do it in 3 minutes with the skeletal guardians being more of a threat than the actual boss, it really isn't.

The Flesh Cave, on the other hand, is extremely low risk for an insanely high reward. It has easy to kill mobs, a high spawn rate, decent xp per kill, and drops ludicrous amounts of loot since it doesn't count as a grind spot (unless, ofc, it has been changed since I quit). The only aspect that makes this any difficult is the amalgamation with around 100k hp at the end of the cave (where either a t3 or t4 chest is located, I forget which), but you can completely avoid encountering it by just staying in the area with pretty much all the mobs (and even if it does manage to meander its way to you, you can just leave the room and/or /class). The only area (excluding CDS, which surpasses it) that really gets close is the cave outside of Troms, which also isn't a grind spot either (I haven't tested a lot in there, so it may honestly be better).

tl;dr A lot of grind spots need to be buffed if the staff wants people to actually use a variety of them. The Beast from Below are one of them.

Yeah, pretty much. I'll note that the Dullahan Sludge Pit is decent for 60-65, and the Upper Flesh Cave (which has grind mobs) is an okay 70-75 spot. Pretty much none of the grind spots in Dernel are ever worth using.

Imo the Cannoneers spot has too little of a reward for how extremely dangerous they are.

I could see where you're coming from, since I traditionally use Archer/Assassin over Warrior/Mage for grind spots (I'd rather just do dungeons with the latter), and Archers/Assassins easily benefit the most from this due to the areas to hide in (vanish to get behind a tent/spamming bomb arrow behind a tent).
Quick question, is this referring to the grind spot in the castle or a different one? Personally, I found the one in the castle to be quite annoying to grind in due to the mobs charging everywhere and their somewhat high hp.

The one in the castle. I do agree that the hp is a little high for the xp they give, but I didn't find the Charging to be a problem (melee mage).
