Pets & Horses Lonely Dog

Okay, we've all seen the lonely dog that hangs around Delta.
I think there should be a quest or a boss item that can allow us to tame the dog!

The dog could level up like the horse and could become the players pet if it is loved enough.
Maybe different dog breeds if possible?
Special dog food that will make the dog do elemental damage when attacking enemies?
I just feel bad for this poor pup that follows us around when we find him and then leave him just as quickly.

Last idea is when the dog levels up its collar changes colors every... 5? 7? 10 levels?
I really just want a companion that will help fight for you as you journey through the Provinces of Wynn and Gavel.
Maybe different dog breeds scare different monsters OR are afraid of certain monsters.
I'm just throwing last minute ideas as I'm thinking of this.

 

There's been many many follower threads. There's just too many issues with them to be a good addition tbh
