My Critiques Of The Crafting System

    1. Please make it so that requiring more and more materials isn't necessary when crafting items. Why do I suddenly need 10 pieces of wood and 20 pieces of string when 1 and 2 would have worked fine all the way through.
    2. Why do we need to cut down an entire forest just to grind woodworking? Or farm an entire field to level farming? Etc.
    3. Why does + cutting or farming speed when leveling up just not matter half the time?
    4. Why do crafted items lose durability while walking?!
    5. Why do we have to make a bunch of pointless items before being able to get items that we can actually use? Why not make crafting useful for high level players from the start?
    6. The amount of experience you get in any profession means you can only focus on 1. It would be awesome if we could make our own armor and weapons and potions and rings and etc., but we can only choose 1.
    7. Can we please have a bag for holding ingredients or materials?
    8. Why can we only carry so many materials around?

    1) Completely agree with you here, I think it should increase a bit, but not too much.

    2) Becuase that's how it works in real life too

    3) It does matter quite a lot actually! For example, with a higher fishing level I can instantly catch salmon, saving me almsost half the time than if I had to click them like 4 times.

    4) They shouldn't, yet they do. Probably something to do with afking? I'm not sure

    5) Wouldn't work imo

    6) Not at all, most people have a healthy balance of what profession they do, I've rarely seen anyone with a massive increase with one profession

    7) I want this added too

    8) Bit of a silly question really. Go outside now and try to lift up 4000 logs. Can't do it? There's your answer

    You seem to be under the impression for a few of these points that realism = fun. We shouldn't need to level a forest just to level up, and since when has Minecraft of all things limited you on what you can carry?

    " since when has Minecraft of all things limited you on what you can carry?" - The inventory system, you can only carry a max of 36 potions, or 36 tools. Or 2304 food/ blocks

    So the entire system is gimped because of one type of set up? That's kind of lame, don't you think?

    It doesn't really make much sense tbh, and you can easily repair your armour, and op armour with 1 durability still has lots of walk speed bonus when at 0%

    I do agree on most of your points. Leveling up (from what i heard) becomes really grindy when you get to 40-60, and the materials weight is really a nightmare.
    As for the reason as to why you can't make high level crafted items from the start is because they will lose their value. Since everyone can make high level items from the start then there will be a lot of players who makes those items which will decrease the value of the items. Another thing is that if anyone can make high level items then the low level materials/ingredients will lose their value since almost all of the players won't buy them because they can make high level items from the start.
