World Implement A Private Message Filter Between Non-mutual Friends

Recently, a well known streamer tried wynncraft with thousands of viewers. Upon joining, he was greeted by this:

I believe that a chat filter between non-mutual friends should be implemented in PMs to prevent situations like this from occuring. This incident has put forth a bad image of Wynncraft and we've probably lost many potential players because of it.

PMs between mutual friends should stay unfiltered.

 

I think that just preventing them from sending a message can be very inconvenient - but preventing spam messages (maybe if they send more than 3 in 5 seconds, it asks the recipient if they’re being spammed and if they say yes blocks that person) would be cool

Also I like this idea a lot. Anything to combat against a non mutual friend. Honestly I already find it awkward that anyone can friend me just by seeing my ign. Doesn’t that mean they can see if I’m online the moment I get on?

 

I think some options (most likely commands) to toggle filters & toggle messages would be nice. If messages were disabled, the player sending the message would receive a message saying "this player has messaging disabled"

 

In my personal opinion, it should be just like hypixel’s filter setup.

Where for pms in general, it is defaulted to having a filter on the maximum level (which just basically means that it’s safe even for everyone, even the youngest of players). And in the settings you can change it so that the filter is reduced as much as it can (for some reason there is no option for no filter, just that the lowest you can go is that the filter hardly makes any difference and censors only a other words like “re****” etc). However though I do agree that wynncraft should do something about his issue.

In addition there is another setting for allowing pms in general, there are 3 options on the pixel: No pms at all, pms between friends, and pms between everyone. The second option is the default iirc and should be for this server if we had to decide.
