Hello Wynncraft, my name is IvoSM, I’ve been a member of the Wynncraft community since 2014, and a member of the guild community since 2016. I’ve always loved guilds and the way wars work, but lately the statistics show that most of the players in the guild community are quiting..

I’d like to make a suggestion, I’ve tried to apply for Mod in order to give this suggestion but my appeal got denied, anyways I’m not here to complain I’m here to try helping the guild problem that’s going on.
I’ve asked a lot of people why they quit and I always got the same answer:
‘’I have nothing to do in Wynncraft anymore’’ or ‘’Guild wars are pointless’’
I thought about what everyone said and in reality Guild wars really are pointless.
You war, you get territories, you lose them, you reclaim them again.. and it repeats.
When a guild reaches lvl 60+ it unlocks every mob defense and every boss, and at that point people don’t have anything to war for. Even being the #1/#2/#3 guild gets boring as time passes.

I suggest that Wynncraft should make rewards for the Top #3/#5/#10 guilds so players have something to fight for! The top 3 guilds will be awarded every Season ( A Season could take 1 to 3+ whole months )
Here’s a couple examples what the rewards could be:
    1. Free banner customization

    2. In Game Badges for the players

    3. Store Vouchers for the Captain+ that war

    4. Emeralds added to the guild’s bank

    5. Exclusive Pets

All those are just examples, the rewards could be anything!
If Wynncraft approves this suggestion maybe the guild community should vote on what the rewards should be!

    -Ivo from the Emorians

*psst* My personal favorite is the Exclusive Pet rewards ;)

Maybe the top 10/20 guilds get a coloured name in chat, on top of the guild stars?

Like how when you win a guild war, get the territory, and you get emeralds dropped in that area?

my opinion on seasons and season-exclusive cosmetics is that they can go die in a hole

I think that high-ranked guilds should get something to show off that they're high rank, but not anything permanent (meaning that when your guild drops below a certain number on the leaderboard, you lose it).

High rank guilds get Stars that are visible in the chat.
I'm trying to say that we need something to war for. If there's Season Rewards players could stop quiting because they'll have something to do. If you read the whole post you'd know that Stars that show in the chat are not enough to make players war and be active, that's why Season and Season-exclusive cosmetics shouldn't ''go die in a hole''.

This exact thing has been suggested multiple times before and it's never caught on really due to a statement by Salted (I think, I know it was an administrator) wherein it was said that they'd prefer to not add any rewards to guilds so that they don't end up seeming neccesary to the casual player, so your Wynn experience would remain the same regardless of if you're in a guild or not at it's core.

Alright, but now that veterans of wynncraft are leaving almost everyday I think we should try to convince Salted (Or an administrator) to add something that will motivate people to war more.

You're absolutely right, there should be more endgame content. I don't think putting a small bonus on warring would fix that, however. Neither would putting a big reward, as that would just make warring and being active in a big guild almost necessary, and many players don't care about or even like wars at all.

The fact that wars were disabled isn't the only reason why veterans and old players are leaving either, 1.18 took a big dump on making money, lootrunning, and the way some members of the ct reacted on community feedback following up to 1.18 and later the Trade Market/Wars also turned people away from Wynn.

    How to fix them:

Step 1: Remove level 50, 60 and 70 mobs from wars entirely
Step 2: Make everything else unlock at earlier guild levels and cost way less

    There's a start.

I agree with the first and last point, the first helps to establish guilds (and moreso wars) as kind of an end game feature, and the prices rn can be a bit rough to guilds starting out. However, having later unlocks helps to incentivize the actual guild leveling process and therefore encourage people to do wars in the first place, and the system already stops at low enough of a guild level (55? there's a good handful of guilds that have been past that for a year now, this needs worked on heavily imo).

Guilds can be created starting at level 40.
I think removing lower level mobs in general would cut off promotion of wars for lower level players and newer guilds, and what we should be doing is promoting the war feature and getting more players eligible to participate.

Because personally I don't think guilds should be accessible to lower level players. They're basically an end game feature as a whole, there's little point for level 40 players to go start warring. If you just want friends before that find some chill people you randomly end up doing quests with or exploring with and type that ol /friend

Personally I think thats ridiculous, and completely absurd. Wars aren't the sole purpose of guilds. And wars can serve exciting for all players.

And guilds are much more even if they don't war, irreplaceable by some /friend command.
    ________________________________
That is a bit hypocritical coming from you of ALL people. You began warring at what? Level 50 or so? You weren't that a high level when you started out. Many players who are currently in the guild community started guilds from a low level, myself included, and I'm sure those days starting out were so captivating and memorable for you as well.

I started warring at level 60 before this game even had a texture pack. This was also when the lowest leveled mob was level 40 and not the 50 it is now, and every mob was stupidly weak for no reason. As an example, I got my start in guilds by making a bet with my guild leader where if I was able to take a full lv90 mob defense on Twain Lake from Hax as a level 65 archer she'd give me chief.

I did it in 15 minutes.

Don't speak about what you know nothing about.

You still didn't technically start using the war feature only at end-game.
And it still doesn't dismiss the fact that ridding of lower mobs would only disable wars for a majority of the users there are now, which would result in much less action and use of the war feature as a total.

I actually wasn't wrong at all, so "don't speak about what you know nothing about." My only statement about you warring was "you began warring at what? Level 50 or so? You weren't that a high level when you started out." Which is actually accurate. I said level 50 or so, so around the region. You first used the war feature at level 60, which indeed is not end-game.

Mobs back then were half (at most) the strength they are now so it was easy. Plus, the cap was lv75 at the time so I was fairly close to endgame regardless.
There's not much to say about this other than it's just.. wrong? You're seemingly making the claim the the majority of people warring are not able to handle mobs of level 70 or 80, which I'm positive is wrong. Basically any statistic related to wars you can get from motobot shows that there are hundreds of people active in the war community more than capable of taking on level 100 mobs, I see far less that can't even take on a few 80s.

All mobs would be level 80+, meaning those lower leveled then that would most likely than not struggle. I don't see why you want guilds to be focused towards endgame, or how guilds for lower level players is simply replaced by /friend, because it isn't. The excitement of creating a guild and coming together with friends is truly an irreplaceable experience, and guilds being able to be created at level 40, many are so eager to try out their first war upon making their guild. As said, guilds can still be created at level 40, so we should still cater to these players. You don't just war, you grow with it. Being a lower level players, wars really catch the eye, and progressing to becoming better for the feature is part of that. Growing in Wynncraft with the war feature hooks you too it, an experience that may not have occurred if I'd only had started warring at end-game.

The war feature should remain accessible to these players, as it is a fun feature that truly enhances the Wynncraft experience, especially at those lower levels and they serve as a true motivator to keep on playing and to better yourself so you can prove more powerful.

Guilds are not some end-game feature tailored only to that who have already beaten the game, the excitement upon joining and creating a guild is completely irreplaceable by /friend, as you mentioned was an alternative. The true bonds formed and lessons learned through the guild are both captivating and enriching to the Wynncraft environment, no matter the level.

i would agree with this but this is exactly the reason every guild on the map right now just abuses shitty level 50 mob defences to waste peoples time and deter them from warring at all, that's literally all war is now, people wasting other peoples time with trash mobs and everyone just seems fine with that since 'it's part of the game'.

the only reason i even bother with war anymore is because i have dual monitors and can actually do something entertaining on my other monitor while i war, how much does that say about the war system? rofl

I think part of it is that you war alone most of the time. I still enjoy the war system, and I like the fact that younger level players have access to wars and join in on the fun and get in it from a younger level. Whats keeps wars fun no matter what level mobs your facing is warring with other people. It is fun to talk to my other fellow guild member in wars as we talk, catch up, and ultimately hang out. I think those are the experiences that truly matter from the war experience.

this example kind of reminds me of being back in high school, sitting next to friends in class and just chatting/catching up, which was nice, but did that mean i enjoyed the class itself? no, more often than not just an hour of boredom.

wars shouldn't rely on needing others just to be fun, that's a lazy excuse for a boring system, everything is more fun with friends, classes, long drives, watching grass grow, guild wars.. the list goes on.

i honestly don't know anymore.. just seems like everyone is fine with abusing boring, cheap, cookie cutter defences just because it's the most cost effective, even though it literally just sucks the fun out of the game (not like any of the people who use these defences even remotely care about that though, since it just lets them hold territories for longer than they deserve to lol).
