/toggle Shouts Or At Least A Wait Time

the shout wasting has gotten real
and most shouts are just stupid lets be honest now

psst we cannot let Hyco and his goons get away

Or if anything limiting shout usage smh
like with a wait-time

 

Shouts are life. We can talk to everyone, plus we're supporting Wynncraft. I'm all down for shout "wasting" and being loud. Keep shouting!

People are paying for shouts and aslong they do not break any rules they should be allowed to shout what they want. They bought the shouts to speak to the WHOLE server and not just to those who didn't toggle it.
Shout wasting does not harm anyone.. it helps Wynn because people are buying shouts and supporting them.
So limiting shouts or even adding the toggle command would hurt wynn.

 

Come on, Ice. What we're doing isn't bad, in all seriousness. The only thing we're doing is being somewhat annoying, since guild chat and shouts are same color. I'm sorry about that, but supporting Wynn is a great goal to have in mind.

 

the whole point of shouting is to get to talk to everyone. This idea would not only take away from that, but would harm those with shouts that are more meaningful

 

well its not just now, at times people bring unnecessary topics to the shouts. for example politics, forcing their religion on others, pushing they sexuality on others. etc

I am glad you are supporting Wynncraft. However, since you won't agree with the toggle feature, would you find common ground at a time restraint? Like some folks literally spam shouts at several a minute.

 

if it's not too long.. honestly people are just having fun and it's amusing 99% of wynn

Alright, here's my take on shouts. Bear with me, it's a bit long.

Some shouts just need to not be said. I've seen my fair share of inappropriate comments, player call-outs just to start drama, and other guilds making fun of each other due to being enemies. Those should not be shouted because yeah, drama should be avoided. Though it's not stated in the rules or anything, just my personal feelings.

I do believe that the joke shouts, though annoying, can be extremely helpful. Perhaps not spamming the alphabet, or giving friends a hard time with saying they're buying stuff when they're not, but just random shouts (like the puns that have been going around lately) bring people together to just laugh and have fun. It's so great seeing people make friends from all of this, and that for me takes away a lot of the bad from shouting.

I don't agree with the shout abuse though; shouting 5000000x a minute without a purpose can be extremely annoying. I've been bad lately with shouts, so I'm sorry, haha.

 

Which is where we can find common ground. Of course shouts are to message the entire network. I think there should be at least some sort of wait-time, not too long of course, but just so that people cannot spam

 

I think a large issue with a wait-time is how long said wait-time would be, If were talking 5-15 seconds then that makes sense, But if its something like 30 seconds or more it starts to get unreasonable.
