Horse Breeding Change.

Horse breeding is very frustrating and sometimes players who only want a black horse end up spending a ridiculous amount of emeralds and end up with just a brown horse. It would be better if the chances of successful breeding and failed breeding changed per tier of the horse. In the end, the cost and chance of getting a white horse should be the same but the chances of getting lower tier horses such as chestnut horses and black horses will be easier.

Breeding 2 brown horses: Chance of getting a higher tier 50%
Breeding 2 black horses: Chance of getting a higher tier 30%
Breeding 2 Chestnut horses: Chance of getting a higher tier 5.33%

This would make it much easier and cheaper to get black and chestnut horses but getting white horses would still be as difficult and costly.

 

This would mess up the entire economy around horses. That white horse that someone spent 1.5 stacks to breed is now worth half a stack. Aside from making players very upset, you would totally ruin the economy around horses.

 

The chances for getting a white horse and cost will be the same however the cost of chestnut and black horses will be lowered. Maybe I messed the math up but the chances and cost of getting a white horse in the new breeding system should be the same as it is now.

 

Is that 5.3 recuring percent for a white?????

This will make whites cost like, 300le! Maths doesn't work the way you think it does lol

 

What this guy said, I'm fairly sure the chances rn for breeding two chestnuts successfully isn't /that/ low.

Though, I do agree the horse system should be reworked, however I'd probably approach it a lot differently compared to this and the current system

 

Currently it is a 20% chance of getting a higher tier horse so.
20% x 20% x 20% = 8% chance of getting a white horse from breeding 8 brown horses.

The new system is this
50% x 30% x 5.3% = 8% chance of getting a white horse from 8 brown horses.

Either way math wrong or right is the concept of lower tier horses having a higher success breeding success rate good?

You have to take into account the chances of failed breeding as well,

so it's actually 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.053 = 1.325% chance of white with just 8 brown horses.

Maths is fun!

 

One of the reason the probability of breeding a better horse is so low is that the system is there to create a money sink.

 

I want to calculate the costs for this, what will be the chances of downgrading your horses with this?

 

umm Ice Bear is not sure what should be the numbers of downgrading to keep the costs and chances the same as it is now.

 

with keeping the percentage of getting a same leveled horse at 50% and changing the downgrade percentage to get to a 100% the prices will be as follows:

brown 24eb
black 72eb that's 1le and 8eb
chestnut 344eb that's 5le and 24eb
white 9672eb that's 151le and 8 eb
