World Trade Stat (id) / Trading Skill [19 Total Votes, 100% Support]

    So I had this brilliant idea, for a trade stat. What would it do?

    It would simply increase your chance to get the full price of an item your selling to a blacksmith.

    So for instance if you could sell a spear for 10 - 50 E, with Trade Bonus of 50% you would get AT LEAST 30 E.


    Another suggestion was made that it would be an individual skill that would increase over time, the more you traded. I think it's an equally, if not more fun idea.

    Wouldn't it be weird to have an ID for it? That'd mean some items would have to be made for the sole purpose of being sold. Or there would be "builds" for that. Again, that would be an odd thing to have IMO

    However, I think the idea of having some sort of trade bonus is pretty good! I'm not sure how you'd go about acquiring it. Consumable effect maybe?

    I mean it could work as an ingredient-only ID and all, but then again I feel like drinking a potion that makes blacksmiths better would make create some sort of negative philosophy in the game. Selling items would feel "bad" without the effect. It would be somewhat similar to xp and loot bonus, but these 2 affect the game much more than some ID which only affects one NPC.

    Maybe the stealing ID could be that "trade bonus" ID? That would add an extra use to it, it's pretty much the worst ID right now

    Either that or buff stealing, why is it limited to 5e a mob? When did anyone think that would really be useful...

    Well it could be id that could only appear on cooking, scribing and alchemism ingredents.

    If the owners were concerned about not wanting people to feel bad that they waste their time or money, they wouldn't have added proffesion bombs.

    I was also going to make a suggestion to buff stealing.

    Wouldn't that be quite hard to put in the game though? I mean, to make something like that have percentages and having to plug that in to verify with the blacksmiths. Cool idea though. :)

    If they managed to crate the whole proffesion system I'm sure they can manage to add in few calulations.

    My issue with it being an effect like this is people wouldn't sell items without it active.
    If its an id, at least people can carry around the armor and not stockpile items until they get there daily dose of trade id drug.

    perhaps a bartering skill, trading with various merchants or selling stuff to blacksmiths increases this skill giving a slight boost to sale price and reduced buying costs

    I was going to call it a bartering skill, but after checking its definition I saw that specfically defines itself as trading GOODS, so no money.

    Becaouse I've been selling items for a long time and it would bring a benefit, to not loose money when selling something. You could have this id be used specifically for temporary stuff, like potions or food; something like "Liquid Luck" from Harry Potter.

    After the nerfs on emerald earning from selling items to item buyer, this seems reasonable but Im afraid this will benefit the already rich ones rather than the ones who need money.

    How? The rich ones won't be selling their saved up gear to item buyers. People of every level of wealth would still need to find gear to sell. This would benefit everybody the same.
