World Housing Idea

i have the idea of like other mmo that like example wow or SWTOR there should be a housing system in implent in WynnCraft here some feature i haved in head

you can build your own house or have premade house
you have special place to place or in a plot system (that sound bad or good idk)
you can invite friend to your house or make it public
you can craft furniture and can place it into your house
you can have different sort of size plot (Normal size) (Castle size)

im pretty new here and idk if my idea is good but i think is it good and fit in wynncraft
and im happy to suggest in a game i love also that the first time i ever suggest so it might be bad at first but here go nothing so yeah thx for looking and i hope is a good idea

 

Try to be more specific, a quality suggestion works out all the minute details. Instead of just throwing the idea out there, grow the idea into a real suggestion.

Where's that graph with the number of new housing threads over time?

Housing is a common suggestion, practically to the point of being a meme. Expanding upon your idea would definitely help your particular suggestion stand out.

 

As much as I would like housing lets think about the numbers.
As of pre gavel wynn had 1.3 million unique logins.
Lets say everyone gets a chunk, which is pretty small for a house (16*16)
Thats 1.3 million chunks
Thats 1140 chunks by 1140 chunks (18k blocks by 18k blocks)
That's bigger than the current map.

 

Well since jp made client-side blocks and magic possible, it might be possible to have a single house for the entire server.
I'm obviously not saying we're adding housing, just that some of the technical difficulties that existed before are gone now

 

My housing suggestion just included a house and everyone being invisible

You don't need to be sorry, housing isn't a bad idea, it just doesn't fit into Wynn right now

Just to tell you that not all hope is lost, they might add it after another 5 years... maybe.

 

There are not good nor bad ideas, just the ones that don't fit the situation. I personally see Housing as a great idea for adding more customitzation but it needs to be developed more for being considered a decent suggestion. Think about that wynnrcraft aims to offer and if your idea of housing adapts it correctly. You cannot just implement a housing idea of another server and copy past it, you know? Something personal and that could be in harmony with the world that has been built.

Maybe if it has been suggested so much it should be added, you are just jumping on the "hate housing" bandwagon without having any claims.

Please don't suggest housing. It's a terrible idea (in general) on so many levels, and I'm sure other people have already ripped it to shreds. It gets sugested all the time. Please, admin, lock this thread.

It's fine to suggest, if so many people suggest it maybe the CT should listen to the community and add it.
Also threads get auto locked after some time with no activity, you just bumped the thread 20 days after the last reply, if you don't support a suggestion the best thing you can do is ignore it.

 

Adding housing has many advantages, the most important one is the endgame content. Also, as you can see even the admin thinks that housing would be a good experience for social players.
Just wanted to state my opinion.

 

Parkour, I know you do like housing but it has many flaws and I don't see it having many or any advantages to your gameplay or the game's role. It would probably only be cosmetic and adding merchants, banks, refineries or station would make it too easy to access your bank or craft & gather.

Well, it can be a money sink.
Its not nesecary for a feature to have advantages on gameplay.
Just like guilds they don't give advantages on gameplay but they are a good money sink and a nice place for social players.

The devs have fallen from reason. They once agreed with me(or more accurately me agreeing with them.) That adding housing would be a waste of time and resources, and also not very "wynncrafty"
