I think, if the shoutbox has been removed, there's *probably* a good reason - however, I also feel that the reason must be communicated. Judging by the replies, it seems there has been.. almost no communication between the administration and players. I think that can potentially be a bigger issue.

I've always liked how Wynn's Admins keep, somewhat, a distance from the players - they set an example by being the Admins and have to be professional. (I don't know if that's changed recently, though. I don't pop in often.) Other servers don't seem to do that, and because of that, are quite unprofessional, in my experience.

However, there are also times when they really should say something - equally, it's up to them to judge if it's the time to talk. And sometimes the choice is not to talk. That's just how it is. :L
