Your counterargument falls apart when you start reading it. For rainbow builds "Sometimes stronger" Means "other times NOT stronger". Not stronger at other times means the dual element builds are also "sometimes stronger" and going by your logic dual element builds are stronger.

What utility? Rainbow builds have decent utility in everything. A bit of speed, a touch of poison, a mite of lifesteal. Wheras a build with dual elements has a ton of utility, just not so widespread. You can fight Quira with your rainbow friends, but it would be better to have several dual elemental friends - they are each much more specialized and together they cover each other's weaknesses with a power far stronger than the coverage a rainbow build can give in that element. Maybe rainbow builds are stronger for solo players but you cannot ignore those that play together - most hard quests were meant to require more than one player. Just because you can survive one of those battles doesn't mean you did it as quickly as a more specialized player could have.

    Let's look at Agility.
That player can have up to an 80.5% chance to take zero damage from any damage source including other elements. So by specializing in agility they are as invincible as you claim rainbow builds to be. But this is only half of that player's skill points. They still have up to 100 skill points that they can put into any other element! The only time a rainbow build will truly be more powerful than a dual element build would be with the right rainbow mythics or if the dual elemental set involves defense (because defense is nearly useless since it has no effect on elemental damage).

Look, clearly, I'm misunderstanding your points, and you're misunderstanding my points. We're never going to agree, so this is a pointless discussion. We each have a reason for thinking what we do (which is a good thing) and so we're both making valid points. On the other hand, this has been going on for a long time, and I honestly don't care enough to keep fighting about it. I'm glad you care about the game and what happens to it as much as I do <3

Mature way to end the argument. That's something I rarely experience in any forum. I applaud you

well I feel that many have already said this, but lower the percents to the 3-6% range. The difference shouldn’t be so massive like 20%. Skill points shouldn’t dictate the damage more than the actual items do. 10% by itself is already huge, and again skill points shouldn’t have a more positive effect than the actual items do.

I like the idea of this, but it kinda doesn't make sense? Hence the question mark, I assume? I've been thinking of a solution the past week and I still have no clue what it should be replaced with... :>

It's basically a parody of the other max skill point perks, since you'd theoretically 'know' everything about every element by investing points into all of them equally, but by spreading yourself so thin, you don't really know everything about every element (hence why you shouldn't go rainbow).

obvs its an idea so balance isn't too important but the 100 defense perk sucks compared to the water and air one.

real nice idea but it kind of encourages min/maxing and makes split builds (aside from rainbow) a bit weaker due to the sheer strength of the lv 100 perks but generally good idea.

Some people have mentioned that the rainbow perks have wording that sounds stronger than it really is. I'd like to suggest some alternatives.

Prismatic Illusion: You can feel the balance between the elements.
Raining Star: You are at harmony with the elements.

This seems like a great way to flesh out stats in a more meaningful way than just flat bonuses. Also adds to build diversity and that's always a good thing.
