These bombs have essentially created the problems that XP bombs used to give... Before the player update (or maybe it was the gameplay update) people just wouldn't do their quests unless there was a DXP bomb... It was terrible. Eventually it was changed so that DXP doesn't affect quests, so now people wouldn't wait fucking hours to complete them. These new profession speed and XP bombs have created this same dilemma where people don't want to use their items to craft unless there is a crafting XP or Speed bomb... Specifically speed, since it significantly decreases the amount of resources needed...

I personally feel that in order to resolve this issue, Profession Speed bombs should either be removed or heavily nerfed... I think that one good way to go about doing this would make it so that Speed bombs ONLY increase the speed of things... Like how long it takes to craft, gather, etc. It should NOT decrease the cost for crafting. This will make Crafting XP bombs actually have value, and decrease the opness of it since with both of these it's literally 4X xp basically since 1/2 the ingredients needed, and 2X xp from the XP bomb if both are enabled at the same time.

Even then people still might refuse to craft without a Crafting DXP but having 2X xp would be much better then 4X for the problem.... Vote if you agree

I never even realized crafting materials were reduced by speed bombs, and I don't understand why that would be the case. Isn't the point of a SPEED bomb to reduce PROFESSION SPEED, not MATERIAL COST?

Yeah I would say get rid of the reduced cost for crafting, that just doesn't make sense to me.

Didn't realize crafting speed bombs halved materials costs, that's a major problem since T3 materials are likely going to be relatively expensive (I anticipate in the range of 3-6 EB or so, based on how long it takes to get them) so people will definitely want to wait.

To be honest, I mined for like two days straight after the update was released, got to level 90 mining at the end of day 2. Not once did I feel like I had to wait for a dpxp bomb just to give me a reason to mine. If you want to be absurdly efficient with your resources, yeah you can wait I guess, but that's not being very efficient with your time if all you care to do is work on professions, so it doesn't make much sense. It's going to take you a VERY long time to get all your professions to max level, especially your crafting professions, if all you do is wait for dpxp and speed. I think they're perfectly fine how they are, honestly

Remove the reduced item cost and that's about it. There's no reason to be complaining about how it works, do it yourself. It's a fair model that works for everyone.

Gathering is not affected by this. CRAFTING, is.

These are my ideas for these two bombs that I already posted under another thread:
Personally I would say that the Profession Speed bomb should increase material drops or have its duration increased to 20 minutes instead of reducing recipe prices (just removing the reduced crafting cost would make it a bit weak in my opinion) to solve half of the problem, but about the Profession XP bomb, I don't know... Maybe remove the double xp for crafting professions and instead gain crafting profession xp each time you gather a material used for the respective recipes? This way you would still get more xp for these professions, but through an time-consuming instead of item-consuming activity, as time cannot be "hoarded" in contrast to items.
Gathering is very different from crafting, as crafting consumes items, not time. Items can be hoarded until the bombs drop; and doing so costs you nothing, you don't have to wait for the next bomb doing nothing, but instead are able to gather more and more materials. Its not about waiting, its about using your items at the correct time.

+1 Definitely should be nerfed. Only problem is the possible backlash by the players who already have bought all the speed bombs and then have it got nerfed... If they were to change this, perhaps they should make the old bombs still work how they currently do (like a legacy version), but the new bombs that are bought will stop affecting crafting materials.

Because beyond Crafting XP, this speed bomb is still be super useful for those who have already gotten maxed Crafting Levels, but wanted to save their 3 star materials so they are halved as well, basically devalueing the price of 3 star crafted items.

I could imagine this being a problem, but I have yet to witness it entirely. I still voted yes, but honestly I'm not all to sure. If people don't want want to craft until there's a crafting bomb, so what? It's their choice. If they want to go about it like that, they have to be willing to wait for it, or pay for it. Having them pay for the bombs supports Wynncraft's development, and them waiting for it has little to no effect on the market and other players.

The main reason people are bringing this up is because T3 materials are very rare, and this was a big problem back when XP bombs affected quests - people would wait to turn in quests until DXP was active.

It halves the cost to craft an item using any material, that means you can craft twice as much using the same amount of T3 or any other tier materials.
