Okay. I get that /rename and /relore are locked behind a rank. This seems fair as you don’t really NEED to name your items, but you can if you want them to be a lot cooler. However, I think it’s really annoying that /sign is rank locked as well. Non-ranked players deserve credit for their crafted items just as much as ranked players do. The other day I made someone a ring, he passed it off as if it was his and since it wasn’t signed, there was no proof that I made it. I think that /sign should be available to ALL players, because if I want credit for a really cool ring I can make, then shouldn’t I be able to be credited without having to pay?

As much as I understand the costs of running Wynn is high, locking a feature used for giving credit to someone for making a particular item behind a paywall is a bit frustrating (especially for people like me who are literally unable to purchase a rank from the store). It would suck to spend time an resources making a really useful item only for it to be passed off as made by a different person just because you didn’t pay for a rank.

You can't.. That feature was always a thing (was annoying since you couldn't rename items created before the release.

If you didn't make the item you can't edit its name, lore or sign it.

But it does seem like a feature that Non ranked people should have considering its a Credit thing.
But then that poses the question... what do Vip get?

eh the /rename and /relore are good where they are (hero already is a bit of a rip off (by design Vip+ was always meant to be the value rank))

Maybe add a re-skin feature for VIP? So they would be able to choose from all the standard gear skins and possibly crate skins too to some capacity since VIPs don't get a daily crate. Nothing too crazy, but it would be at least something.

That sounds like a good idea. Another cosmetic benefit for ranks is fine, but signing seriously needs to be available to all

This is not purely cosmetic anymore at all. I can see people selling items with well made name/lore going for more money than auto generated ones.

That should not be since Ranks are not supposed to have give you any advantage in gameplay. They are supposed to just be cosmetic.

No. I am pretty sure some people are willing to pay more for good item lore.

Collector's items are also cosmetic. People may be willing to pay more for just about any change (after all, plenty of people buy ranks for just that reason).

Arguably I was a little twisted on what opinion I should give, one being the fact that giving this ability to non-donors just gives another reason for me not to buy a rank one day and the other being it annoys people who have donated. But what pushed me over the edge was my own opinion to be honest, although your thread did motivate me to at least make this argument that I can sort of agree that this sort of perk does give a type of unfair advantage and that being economical. Let me explain.

Let's get to the point, signing items and showcasing them on the marketplace gives a economical advantage, this is because when you are purchasing crafted items on the newly added marketplace it will display the creators IGN (if they have donated) and the statistics surrounding the item, if this item is well made and has taken great care to manufacture then when it is visible on the market place and since the customer will see who made it. Therefore the player who made the item will get increased customer loyalty from its spectators and customers (for those who don't understand business terms it basically means that loyal customers to your business are more likely to buy from your business compared to a business they know nothing about) , as a result of this loyal customers will be more than likely to purchase from these respective businesses again and sooner or later direct them to the marketplace on the forums if the donor has a market place on there where the player can now see and purchase all of the other items this player has created which of course creates extra profit which can be spent in game.

In stark contrast, if you have not donated it doesn't matter how well or effort you have put into creating an item to sell, the fact is while it will still sell for a profit, your online forum market will not benefit at all as compared to someone who has signed their items because no one knows who created this item and because they don't know you they're not going to go looking for you and will probably not buy from your market place on the forums and even if they did, they would not have done it because they knew you were good at creating gear, they purchased from you because they were lucky enough to find your online market.

Now that the complaint is over I did also want to say that by giving non donors the ability to sign you can also track the creators of the item down, this could be very useful to track down players who have created weapons and gear that is simply too powerful for their level, and then finding out how they made it to nerf the item as a whole.

However this could all be simply fixed, all it requires is that when selling an item it notes who is selling the item and as for the little suggestion just above this one if the mods haven't done it already is to create a hidden tag which displays the creator of the item and the ingredients used in it. (no i'm totally not snaking you all to the game balancers so that op items can be tracked down and nerfed easier so you can't beat legendary island with no potions, so what? :P)

-Edit: Also quick suggestion to help the thread above, a command could be installed something like /itemcreator when holding the item in your hand it would display the name of the creator in chat for the player.

Wynncraft owners need money so they can afford to not pay their staff anything. Money makes people greedy, just feel lucky that you can play this server for free (buying minecraft first, of course XD)

I wouldn’t call them greedy, I just want to point out to them that one of the rank advantages they have is kind of unfair.
