    As you travel through Wynn, you'll find a plethora of resources to craft into powerful items. So naturally players will try and hoard resources to make the best items for their classes, and for their lower or higher level characters. Now that we've established the fact that players inventories are gonna be stacked with resources from here on out, there is another thing to point out. Players inventories are often already full from their adventures. Potions take up a majority of the hot bar, hell some people keep quest items, some keep extra armor for swap outs, and weapons too for that matter; leaving only, at most, two rows of empty space for items. Now consider the stockpiling of resources during an adventure as well as keeping resource refining tools into account. Inventory space has always been complained about, and players have asked for backpacks or some form of extra space as is. This update will only heighten this issue, which is why I believe a resource/gathering backpack space is a must. A simple command perhaps to open up a static inventory space to hold only resources. Resources already are tagged as "processed material" or "unprocessed material", so
    if(isMaterial(item.tag) != true) then don't store the material into the sack. A fairly small and easy implementation for a large problem. Who knows, maybe you can even upgrade resource sacks with m i c r o t r a n s a c t i o n s, or a quest.

    Minecraft:
    1) throw away zero star ingredients
    2) don't level multiple gathering professions at one
    3) don't keep quest items in your inventory

    there, inventory problems solved

    That's a simplistic and honestly unimaginative approach to a problem with multiple factors. It's an approach that doesn't even address problems like having gear and resources at the same time, or wanting to level multiple gathering professions at once. Because leveling multiple things at once is efficient, and is therefore the natural response of players to leveling systems. If there is a solution that can be implemented that benefits the player base and the developers then it should be implemented. It's a means of ease and efficiency for players, as well as an opportunity for the developers to incentivize player spending. If developers and players approached their problems like you, then the experience a game provides would be a jumbled, stressful mess. I don't want to stress about my inventory space 24/7, while missing out on items/resources that I want. If the devs implement a resource sack, then both players and the devs benefit from such a system. If the devs tell their player base what you just told me, then there will only be more complaints, a messy gathering system, and pissed off players. And the devs would've missed an opportunity to gain player satisfaction as well as an opportunity to monetize their work. Do you, as a player, want to constantly struggle to keep your inventory as empty as possible, while constantly swapping out resources and items for what you think is better? It's an unappealing prospect to have to manage so many items with so little space. Just today I saw dozens of messages by players complaining about the lack of inventory space to hold resources.

    my personal experience is that the game is balanced around leveling 2 gathering professions at once at best. If a player wants to be more efficient than that, they have to live with the downsides (little inventory space in this case).
