    Main Concept
When players reach level 100 there isn't that much of a reward so why not give them an item that would allow them to travel to the past before the war started when Ancient Nemract was populated and having no corruption, or to the Future when the corruption is gone

    Pros
It would make a better reward for reaching level 100 instead of only saying in every chat on the server "Congrats, [Player] has reached level 100

It would give more use for the time Valley as only one quest uses it

A lot of players are interested in the past of Wynn and I believe it would be nice to see what Wynn was like before the war started, when Ancient Nemract was populated, and what the hill looked like before the roots of corruption came to the world

    Cons
If you were to choose the route of traveling to the future it is a bit odd since the Time Temple clearly states any item from the past and having the idea of a future item in the present day doesn't seem right

Again if you were to go the route of traveling to the future it seems a bit like and ending no matter how far in the future it is

And as for traveling back before the war started i cant really think of any cons

Thanks for reading, hope you liked the idea.

Wait didn’t the player kill Theorick?

The door of time is already in use. The quest ”fate of the fallen” is only the first time it’s used for a quest and will probably be used again in the future. It’s function is also explained: You can access the place like you really were there, but you have to do x y z to get out. It’s a mission, not a vacation.

On top of that, DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE TO RECREATE THE MAP TWICE? For what, A SMALL ENDGAME BONUS?
    (Salt over)
Oh and we don’t know the corruption will be gone in the future.
Graken tells you via a note, after you left, everything in the dungeon turned red and evil, Charon was resurrected stronger, and when you go around the dungeon it looks corrupted, as does the surrounding landscape. This means: The world was corrupted. It could be an illusion or an alternative timeline, but it could also be the future.

Instead of this, we could instead make it more like a really long Quest line or a huge bundle of 'Area quests' located in Past Wynn. Instead of recreating the entire world, it could be limited to just parts of the Wynn Province, areas of focus like Past Detlas, Past Nemract, Past Nesaak, and maybe Past Troms. It would be an open world to explore, but definitely much smaller than main world. It would also be simple to build, as it would just be a very heavily modified version of the Wynn Province pasted in with WorldEdit.

This would allow the creators to make a shitton of new quests that are all lore-rich and contribute something useful to the game, they could be locked until you have done a certain quest or made certain Secret Discoveries, which offer a lot more depth to these quests, perhaps these Time Travel quests would be similar to the Ice Barrows quest where you want to travel to a specific moment in time. Future Wynn should be left ambiguous though, but maybe there could be quests to prevent an alternative future from happening, or something. I love the implications of this idea, but you made it really impractical (an empty past Wynn where all you do is travel?) and lacking in detail (elaborate!) don't worry though, you can try again in the future.

They can’t just copy the map: then you are exploring the same map three tiles.
That’s why I used the word recreate: because they have to re-build it from the ground up.

Dude, in the past, a lot of things are the same as now and editing a map
Editing does not take as long as building an entire map again.

    Some diferrences:
Dark forest and Kander forest? Rebuild!
    Most cities? Rebuild!
Sky islands weren’t fractured before the decay. Rebuild!
Same with molten heights. A lot changed. No freezing heights, more dogun structures, less skeletons, ancient Rodoroc exists, and so on. Rebuild!
    Neesak/Lusuco? Not frozen. Rebuild!
    Roots of corruption? Rebuild!
A lot of minor spikes of corruption around wynn? Remove!

    You get the picture.
My second point is, we don’t know what happens in the future. The corruption could be gone, or it could have taken everything. So the future cannot be made.

But in the past, it can be at the start of the corruption (so not lots of things will change) or before corruption so they have to delete and rebuild a few things, but it stills not impossoble to do,wynncragt doesn't have only 2 builders.

Then Neesak still won’t be frozen, most cities will have to still be rebuilt, Corkus is full of Avos, the light forest will still be mostly light, et cetera.
And even if wynncraft had 200 builders, rebuilding the whole map still takes ages.
If you think it won’t, reflect on how long it took for Corkus to be built. I think it’s... around 6-8 months? Corkus alone?

Even if the CT could recycle assets, it would still take ages to build. So long that it would count as a whole update.

So think: Is it worth it to use the development cycle of one whole update just for a small endgame feature?

I don't think we have to see it like a small endgame feature but more like ane expansion, and,
You deliberately forget that wynn doesn't have to releasd everything at once. They can release a part of the map and then release another later so they won't have to focus on it and they could release another update at the same time.

Then again, if it's released in parts, we get much smaller updates. Less content, more bonuses for reaching level 100.
If you had to choose, would you take an empty map expansion, or extra quests and features? Because that's the choice.
    Also, read this again.
They said it was after reaching 100. There would be no quests, no content, only the map.
And I'd like to remind everyone that the temple/door of time is already the time travel feature. It's simple. You take an item from a specific time there, and you go to that time and leave when you do an objective.
You see? It's already time travelling to the past to explore the province, only there are quests there and it's in the game.
I'm gonna stop here. If you still want to argue further, take it to a conversation (on the forums) so we won't pollute this thread more.

Still. Here's a minimal list of rebuilds.
Ragni, Detlas, Nemcrat, Ancient Nemcrat, Almuj, Rymek, Detlas subs, the town you go to for Garoth quest, Neesak, Neesak forest, Lusuco, Lusuco forest, Troms, Roots of corruption, all the mini-roots across the provinces.

Tell me that's not the size of an update, rebuilding all that. So should we waste enough builds for a whole update for a minor post-game feature.
And we can't go to the future because as I said, WE DON'T KNOW IF THE CORRUPTION IS GONE.

Oh, and did I mention the door of time is already our method of timetravel? And a good one. We can access all of the past, they are high-quality, they have objectives you need to do to get out and mobs, they are actually pretty large. So you should just go explore them if you want your fill of lore.
