It wasn't cheesy. it wasn't repetitive. It was short and sweet.

Yeah, I'll add in a pole if I still can. Thank you for your input, however players are saying I should make it longer so I'm definitively introducing more story elements. Once you're in the hallway of the dead, you'll be introduce to a door towards the end. You'll go through three of these hallways inside the room will be a mini-boss representing a memory to add both backstory and stages to the quest.

 

So for reward wise, I was thinking about giving the player Catherine's Locket, which when worn allows the cost of all soul points to be reduce in half. Upon death and teleportation the cost is cut in half.

since tp scrolls cost 1

 

After two uses it takes it away.

 

Tbh i didn’t like the end, it kinda annoyed me seeing the girl and the mother speaking like that “oh my love nooo” “don’t worry i love youuu”, i didn’t like putting a boss in the end, and why the family is there isn’t this about the mother not the family?

Suggestion:
1-don’t make the end fighting a boss make it a puzzel that can free the spirit away, there will be spirits that tries to trap you not kill you (i don’t know the differents).
2-make it that you can’t speak to the girl untill you get some spirit thing that you can get after solving a puzzle and killing a boss, you’ll know about the puzzle and the boss from NPC (not the girl).
3-Its about a spirit so the girl won’t try to do anything to you but if you have the thing (which is a proof that you know something about spirits) she will ask you to save her mother (soon she will turn to an evil spirit) from some place that have been hunted by spirits.
4-The best place in my mind is the jungle or dark forest.

All of these are just suggestion and i really liked the concept of your story.

 

The releavtives are there because underlying the house is a family catacomb, where her mother is buried; all the way at the end because it's the most recent death. I have not the slightest clue as to your third suggestion what you're referring to. Getting an item is smart, I will take that into suggestion.

Edit: The ending was to represent no matter what, a mother's love for her daughter trumps her anger I'm sorry if I did a poor job.

 

What happens if you take off the amulet after the first use?
(Strange thing to do, yes, but better to account for all scenarios)
