Portable Enderchest?

I have had problems with not enough inventory space for a while, because i am always carrying some teleport scrolls, emeralds, potions, my boat and horse, and i dont have much room left for unidentified weapons or powders that i find.

So i came up with an idea! A portable enderchest. It is an item, probably an eye of ender, that you can use for 1 soul point to access your enderchest from anywhere. It is a one-time-use item, so hopefully not too ridiculous.

Pros:
- More loot from loot runs without having to go back everry time
- Trading with someone you met in the middle of nowhere now possible

Cons:
- I dont know if this could be implemented easily
- may be too overpowered.

 

huh this doesnt actually sound too bad lol
as long as the price of each eye of ender is reasonable (as in not too cheap) i dont think it would be too broken

the enderchest is your bank, so all items and all the pages would be accessible. Thats why it needs to cost a soul point.

 

Ooh, hat would be a bit overpowered, maybe if it was like a backpack of sorts?

 

YEa a backpack so its separate from the EC you could have a 2nd inventory space to use but it not be connected with the EC allowing it to add more inventory room but not be op af

 

no I think the original suggestion would be better. with a balanced price so it can't be spammed, you will have limited times to access your bank a limited number of times, and each time you pay for it. with a backpack, instead you have one downpayment, but will permanently unlock a larger inventory essentially and it will eventually earn back what you paid for it, making it far more op in my opinion

 

being able to access 10+ pages of items and space to store items for 1 SP is crazy since you can regenerate sp by being afk or gaining the spr on your gear. a back pack adding 1 extra page and make it like the horses, so you could have a 10 space 20 30 40... but you have to craft 2 of the same tear one together

I didnt account for how many pages the enderchest had, but since it is your general storage, i felt it wouldnt be broken.

The problem i see with having an extra storage is that you could just buy more and more, and store bags in bags, and it could turn infinite.

I considered the idea of a backpack when coming up with this idea, but i felt it would be broken.

A fix to this would be having it be a fixed hotbar thing like the quest book and player stats, and you could upgrade it like the old enderchest, with much fewer slots. Problem is we already have limited hotbar slots for our weapons and potions.

 

Just thought of something! with 1.18 coming out, we are going to have a lot of new resources, right? our "backpack" could be specifically for resources, and it wouldnt let you put anything else in it!

 

Or, you know, they could prevent that? By making that not possible?
