I would love to see a new rarity, I'm not sure what it should be called. But basically the concept is that you get a weapon that starts off as ( terrible ) or maybe mediocre to godly weapons, but it's not like crappy uniques, as you can tell from the thread title I was thinking of upgradable weapons; they can be upgraded in certain objectives and requirements like "Next Upgrade: Slay 200 enemies with multihit" and requirements like "You must be level 93 to upgrade this weapon". Some other ideas I generated were: doing a quest to upgrade them, somewhat like how Abysso Galoshes turn into Sodeta Boots, but more expanse on that idea. But imo I prefer the objective idea.

For example, I could get "Maltic's Breeze" with very fast attack speed and 70-134 air damage to "Cyclonal" with super fast attack speed with +1 tier attack speed and 90-90 air damage and 20-60 thunder damage.

I understand that this requires a lot of work to do if it was implemented, unlike most suggestions this is an entirely new feature, not just a fix or a simple addition. Some of the problems I can point out is that 1. It would take a long time to add a weapon across many levels 2. this does not relate to 1.18 so if this was considered it would slow down the in-progress features 3. if you think about it, it would cause many bugs where the item of this rarity tier could potentially disappear 4. I know Wynncraft likes to be simplistic.

Laslty, I'd like to point out, make it keep reidentifications from previous upgrades so that people don't abuse it for emerald efficiency.

Upgrading weapons through use of it could be a nice concept though. With customizable items, I’m guessing it’ll just be like adding buffs/debuffs to the item once you obtain the upgrade, which is different from leveling an item through using it.

Something that could be done is have a weapon given through a quest that you can power up through exp or kills gotten while using the item. The lore could be something along the lines of experimentation of fusing exp into weaponry.

Well yeah, he’s just saying that we should wait to see if they are actually doing it or how it’s going to be.

This should honestly just be another update because if they do it with 1 item it would be pointless and make those weapons really cliched around builds and everything around the community. I think they should just add it in as an update to all weapons in the game so when someone finds the weapon that they want to use they can just level up as they wish without having to be required anything other that being the level they need to be for upgrading it. Plus, if they do this with every weapon in the game it diverses so that normal weapons are usable and not just throw aways.

I suggested a single weapon because if you could upgrade just any weapon, it would make any meta tier weapons gamebreaking. To solve the issue with it not fitting with specific builds, it could just be made in a similar way to the hive bow where it fits in anywhere.

Perhaps you should've suggested something more detailed, like a new Tier of items, items that can evolve. Evolving items would use &9, or &3. These items would be rarer than legendaries and more common than mythics, but start off weak, like Uniques, or Rares.

    Here's my take on it.

Some of these would be able to evolve all the way from Lv. 5 to Lv. 90, and take your experience to level up. This is a mockup item I just created.

It isn't a really good item at first, even [Ancient Wand] outdoes the DPS. However, it's most prized ability is it's ability to grow stronger. You'll notice that I put a stat called "XP Drain". It's a stat that is present in all Evolving Items, they take a portion of your experience until they reach their maximum level, items with low XP drain will of course, be easier to work with, but harder to level, the converse is true. At higher levels, you may need certain rare items or ingredients to evolve.

To evolve the item, you give it to the item identifier once you have accumulated enough experience in the item, who will then allow you to evolve the item rather than re-identifying it. The item identifier will require the ingredients needed to evolve it (such as your Soul Points, in this case), and of course, demand many emeralds, depending on the quality of your Evolving Item.

Upon leveling, the item will get higher level and skill point requirements, but also better stats. The lore may also change at certain levels, so a story can be told as you progressively upgrade the item. Evolving items can range from being extremely desirable, to total trash.

    edit:
Pretend this is some guy finding one

    omg so cool

I really like this idea however... It should be like... character bound because it could be op af for a new character.

I may do some fanmade Evolving items just4fun too lol

I really like these ideas actually, both the one suggested initially and the ideas people have responded to. Might make my own take on it after the update drops, since rn something crazy anyone could think of might be actually in the next update.

Yeah chairman, I agree in a way, I feel like no matter what changes you add to upgradable weapons it ruins the feature of simplicity. I also like the idea of crafting/customizing but here's what i thinking

    Crafting
    Cons:
    - You always know what you're looking for and how to get it, adding some non-luck aspect but also makes it bland.
    Pros:
    - The con is also half a good thing

    Customizing
    Cons:
    - The ability to make an item/make changes to an item is risky bc it opens up TOO many possibilities, the item team, honestly isn't perfect. It would take a long time to plan out a proper balance.
    Pros:
    - It's just fun to have control of what your weapon is and encourages creativity.
    - One of the main things to do in the game (making builds), customizable items are easily a way to expand on the idea of making builds focused on one or 3 things.
    - There's many ways of customizing, one of them could be that you use materials from all over the map, another would be having a "skill point" for weapons, you get more skill points as you level up and just add +18 water damage or +10% walk speed.

I got that applies to both of the above:
    - A very new way to get items
    - It really depends how theyre customized or crafted. Do you scrap armor? Do you get special drops? I dont want to farm for crushed bug to get a lame bow or something.

    Upgradable
    Cons:
    - It's unlikely but people might just forget that they exist even if it was added for a long time because they may forget the purpose of upgrading a weapon a hard way after some time. But I say it's unlikely because theres a community, and within that community has persistent people, ex: loot runners that open 600-1,000 chests a day for a mythic.
    Pros:
    - It's satisfying to see your weapon grow stronger over time.
    - I agree w/Runaiic, it should have a -17% to -64% reduction in xp, this encourages players to challenge themselves; making the game more interesting.
    - This is more simple because it adds to an existing content in Wynncraft.

I dont think one of them is better than the other but im just giving my opinion of the pros and cons and wanna know what u all think
