Pets & Horses More Mount Variety

Let's be honest, Wynncraft has some pretty limited mount variety with only 4 kinds of horses and only 2 cosmetics for them. It would be great if there was a way to get more variety into the mix by using the Alpacas or something else Minecraft has available. Say instead of a tier 4 white horse I wanted a tier 4 White Alpaca, or even something more ridiculous like a pig mount.

I dunno how doable this is for the the devs to do and I wouldn't be surprised if they've thought of this already but it's something I think everyone would enjoy

Lorewise, this wouldn’t really make sense. Alpacas are originally from South America, and we’re not Incan warriors; We’re medieval knights. I guess importing could happen, but why would a knight ride an alpaca when horses do the job better?

I know I’m looking at it too realistically, but my point is that riding other animals would feel out of place

Nah make it in lore that there is a different species of horse that has a long neck.

 

I agree with you for the most part about it being lore related but as was stated in one of the replies, We do fight robots so there's definitely some room for more mounts

 

I imagine there'd have to be a quest for these special mounts, like Stable Story. I don't see how it could fit in, but it could probably be something donator-exclusive, 'cause a lot of that stuff isn't and doesn't need to be lore-friendly.

 

I just want to point out that Wynn is still 1.8 compatible, and Llamas are 1.11+ only.

 

Then just make it a cosmetic feature like different item textures from crates?

 

I don't see why they want to keep it 1.8 compatible. They should change that. 1.8 is the worst version to play on and I don't see why they struggle so hard not using other blocks and stuff...

But there is a problem. Four horses got boring after something like 4 or more years.

 

why do horses have to be interesting, whats more important coding a turtle for you to ride on or new mechanics in the next update

 

If that new mechanic allows me to ride turtles than what's the big deal?
