Currently, The "How to apply for the Official Wynncraft Content team" thread has, just, so, many pages. And mostly, that's separate discussions about the same problems over and over again. (Ex. How do I know if I was accepted or denied?, How long does it normally take? Is there X restriction?). Now, I really don't want to criticize them too much. They are busy, hard working people the toil endlessly for the sake of making Wynncraft better for everyone. I respect that. This is part of the reason I'd like to suggest A separate, no-reply thread that is more of a 'How to' apply. It would go through the steps of applying to WCT, In much detail. For example, It would show the Denied/Promising/Accepted automated messages. Alongside it would be other FAQ. It walks players that want to apply through the process of doing so for each Application. It's part guide/FAQ/encyclopedia. I think this would be really easy to use, so that it doesn't take an hour to navigate the Official Thread.

Oh, One more thing: I think in addition to the GM and Builder docs in the official thread, I think there should be a CMD doc describing basic CMD procedure, as well as what is expected of CMD blockers and what their jobs are, as CMD seems to be the most obscure of CT.

 

There is a CMD document, but CMD operates differently to GM and builder, where only accepted people get access to it. This is done to keep some of the server sided features and other confidential information from the public.

Everything you need to know about the application process is stated on the original post or the panel itself. If it's not mentioned on either one, you don't need to care about it, such as age restrictions. Although, if you for example don't know how to create a well designed mob, you probably shouldn't be applying for GM.

Explaining how to apply wouldn't work either, since we're looking for people's own creativity instead of their ability to directly follow preset rules.

And as for handing out the application messages, I can't see how this would benefit the process in any way. If anything, people are going to be less excited about receiving a response to their app if they already know what it'll say, and skip the valuable information contained within them.

Eh I disagree with Aaron, a cleanup would be nice. For example, when I applied, I had to ask some questions on the thread to clear up any worries I had, and having an detailed FAQ on the thread would generally make it look more official. Whilst showing the automated messages wouldn’t be such a good idea, and neither would (like Aaron said) providing a super-detailed guide (though something that explains the application more clearly would be good), a general redo of the thread would be useful.

Also redoing the documents would be good, especially the GM, as it provides (IMO), too much informations that can sometimes scare people hoping to apply. Leaving the hardcore details to the trial document would be wiser.

 

also, maybe videos of how it the build and gm teams work could be nice too
i have curiosity on seeing how gm actually works, the pictures in the documents just isnt enough
a video showing how it works in the wynncraft yt channel might catch the attention of someone and recruit someone for the CT too
