Website & Forums New Rule For Forum Games

Recently I've been lurking in forum games a lot to play d&d, and one thing has always annoys me, inactive people. In one of the campaigns I'm in there was 5 people at the start and at the end of the first mission one other person joined in. 3 of those people left or were kicked out because of inactivity, including the person who joined in later. I really don't get this behaviour, why would you join a game, do one thing and then become inactive.
So to prevent things like this happening I want to propose a new rule.

16. Forum games

Don't join a game in the forum games section and then leave because of inactivity.

Translated into Dutch:

16. Forum spellen

Meld je niet aan voor spellen in de forum games sectie om er vervolgens weer uit te gaan vanwege inactiviteit.

 

Yeah, that makes sense.

 

I don't really think this needs to be a rule, becouse if someone becomes inactive I don't think it's the end of the world to simply kill off their character and move on.

 

Overall, I think this should more be a guideline than an actual rule because potentially getting warning points because something might've come up irl is a little weird and unfair

 

I don't support this.

It's like if you broke your computer and then got warning points for it

Like Poke said, it should just be a guideline and a "try not to do it".
