World Pots In Second Hand

basically its super annoying to have to switch off ur weapon to drink a potion especially when ur melee cuz powder special and all that so since wynncraft is looking to drop 1.8 support in the future (right?)

should make it so that you can drink potions from your off hand (im not too sure how off hand and dual wielding and all that works since i havent rly played minecraft outside wynncraft since ever but it should be doable right?)

so basically im not so sure how i could make it work but id like to put the idea out there so someone who knows what theyre doing could build off it

Wouldn't this take away the skill aspect of quickly healing? Like this you can just continue fighting while healing because you'll just be able to right click.

 

This way, you could be using potion healing WITHOUT sacrifacing dps, leading to easier boss fights. As we all know, easier bosses are what wynncraft is NOT trying to do. The whole point of LI was to be UN-SOLOABLE, and this would make THAT even easier.

 

i mean how long does it actually take to scroll down and up in addition to right clicking :/
anyway the point of the thing isnt to make you heal faster its just so u dont lose ur powder special charge up cuz thats annoying as heck

Also this would balance itself
If you do the boss fight quickly(with skill), you can use just that one pot
If you do it slowly, you eventually have to keep moving pots into your offhand or scrolling which takes a lot of time
So it would mean that doing boss fights quickly and without too many pot would be rewarded

 

It's still a moment where you don't deal damage or knockback, and if that annoys you you can time your heals after you used your powder special.

How would drinking a potion in offhand work though, right clicks are used by spells and bows? This wouldn't work unless they do some shenanigans like pressing the swap item key to consume something
Also, as @ThomAnn100 said, I like the small skill aspect of quickly switching to a potion and back to your weapon, it adds a bit more depth to the game. If you could use your offhand for pots, there's the obvious difficulty problem, it'd just make the game easier, which is not what they want right now.

You talked about losing the weapon charge, but that also adds a bit more depth: do you want to go and charge your weapon for that sweet special, or do you want to play safe and heal up? It's the little things that help improve the overall game.

 

If you change the title to "Break pots with second hand" I would support this. Breaking pots is an essential part of the game and this would make it so much easier! I got legendary pants from one one time!

 

yea i was thinking using the swap key or smth but ya know

honestly if you call that skill then idek anymore

im pretty sure the fact that you lose the special is a limitation of the game itself...
not to mention charging up a special takes like 8 seconds or smth iirc and considering people mostly practically use curse/courage, thats another 9 seconds.
honestly this is more a guild war thing considering your literally completely swarmed my mobs for a good 10 minutes at least so unless ur build is really tanky going for the special really just results in you dying most of the time

 

Yeah that seems like work for a really minor thing
besides i'm fairly certain they already have plans for the offhand
