First and foremost this thread has nothing to do with the addition of a passive system allowing items to be sold to other players akin to auction house plugins. That would take away the fun in trading.

Have anyone ever tried buying something from you at Detlas server 1 during the peak of lag season?
Have they ever asked you what you can offer, and you had to manually take everything out of your bank and show it to them in the trade menu? And sometimes it doesn't fit, so you have to cycle the items for your potential customer to look at them?

    Purpose:

    -This suggestion fixes this inconvenience.
When entering the trade menu with another player one could select between new options labeled "Display Player1's Shop List" or "Display Player2's Shop List". This action would bring up a gui containing ghost item versions displaying the desired player's merchandise. This will allow one to view what items the other individual offers without the need of manually extracting them from a bank.

    Chat log example utilizing suggestion:
Player1: Can I see what you have?
Player2: Sure, just look at my shop.
*Player1 and Player 2 enter trade menu*:
[The ender chests are the "Display ___ Shop List" buttons]
*Player1 selects the top ender chest."
*Player1 hovers over first item, seeing it is a Prism."
*Hovering over the emerald, player one reads, "10 LE"
*Player1 looks at other items, and leaves trade menu."
Player1: How about 9 LE for the Prism?
    Player2: Sure whatever.
    *Player1 and Player2 trade."

    Functionality:
-Essentially accessible via your compass, through either a separate button, or possibly an addition to the "Use Menu" option would dwell a new gui labeled, "Shop Display."
-Once opened, the shop display would allow the player to add ghost versions of the items they are willing to display and only display along with their price in emeralds, if they wish to do so.

    Clarifications:
-Perhaps the GUI could be unlock-able through a trade related quest, or a rank as this would not violate EULA. Or perhaps this convenience should be available to all players from the start - whether the former or the latter, I leave to the decision of this suggestion's interpreter.

    Envisioned Potential Issues:

As with any suggestion, bugs may arise. I wanted to add this here showing I understand this.
-Some type of duplication glitch if not carefully implemented due to the ghost items. [I imagine this could be easily prevented. However I am not a coder in any way shape or form.]

"trading" right now is really inconvenient and frustrating because of how much work it takes just to meet up with the customer and just to get 200 items in one shop, we really need an acution system right now because the one we have now is really terrible and if your looking for a specific item its almost impossible to find if its not meta

what we need is an auction house WITH A SEARCH BAR and people can put items in that they are selling, but only 1 of each item and you can access the auction house through a merchant and FINALLY FIND THE ITEM YOUR LOOKING FOR (and you should be able to just click the item with the money in your inventory and it gives you the item and the previous owner the money) and the people who are trying to make money dont have to spend 5 hours making a shop on the forums that you have to bump ALL THE TIME

Auction houses don't fit with Wynncraft at all. Implementing something like what you are saying is the first step down a dark path of delineation from original intent.

because everyone loves spending hours making shops and never finding the item

how is the action house evil? you didnt explain anything but I can assumse your going to say people will get scammed because they put something in for a cheap price when it was way more expensive. Well that happened to me with my gaia and we dont have an auction house right now and if we did I could actually make my money back, instead of trying to spend forever making a shop that never attracts any customers and is basically a waste of time. Or I could make the money back way easier by just putting my items in the auction house and let them sell themselves.
You could say that no one will ever buy your item, but every item out there is going to have different stats and prices and every player out there wants specifc stats.

it also doesnt have to be called auction house because I know that doesnt fit with wynn it could be called "trade market but not horribly inconvenient"

I think this could be a good idea if two things were changed

    - First, It would have to be location specific so for example, you would put it in the Deltas trade market. This would make it more balanced imo

    - Second, After a certain amount of time, Maybe two days it would be returned with a message like, < The has grown frustrated at your item not selling and has returned it to you. >This would make it so you wouldn't have items from someone three years ago for an outrageous price.

Other than that i think its a good idea.

The people with the items 3 years ago would not sell anymore because of the outrageous price, so we dont need the bumping system back but maybe have a filter that is "lowest pice" and "newest first". Maybe once you put your first item in a 3 month timer starts(you can see the timer with a clock item or something in the auction house) and at the end of 3 months it will ask you (click to reset). Then if you dont reset it all the items you put in go back into your auction house bank or some bank inventory thing.
Another reason I wouldnt like the bumping system is because it will make it allot harder to find the specific stats they are looking for, for example if you went into a store and all the employees are taking everything off the shelves; then what are your chances of finding what you are looking for for the right price?

I never claimed for auction houses to be evil. And the name "auction house" is not what makes the idea not fit in. Auction houses are pretty neat, but Wynncraft just wouldn't be Wynncraft if you didn't have to actually meet up with people to trade.

Also, if auction houses were to be implemented it would kind of jeopardize Wynncraft's current trading system.

by evil I mean "dark path"
I dont think wynncraft revolves around you trading with other players, adding a way to actually find the item your looking for or actually make money without the tedious hours putting 200 items in a shop and trying to find a time to meet up with customers which is also a struggle. Making it easier to make money is not like taking all mobs out of them game, that would make wynncraft not wynncraft.
and I guess if you like doing things as tedious as making a shop and trying forever to find a time just to meet up with the player and just doing everything as inefficient as possible I suppose this would be a bad thing.

yes it would jeprodise the current system, but it wouldnt take it out of them game and people would still use it
