World Treasure Merchant Selchar

When you get back from the Reef you usually come back with full inventory, which means lots of items to trade. Could you add a "shift+right-click" to sell all items of one type, it takes a long time even when you penetrate your mouse.
You probably can't change anything with the position of the merchant, like putting it closer to the bank?

 

We cannot add this function to the merchant, unfortunately, as we would have to add it to all merchants and it could easily spiral out of control.

See, you aren't selling him the items, you're buying emeralds, and the reef drops are the currency. This means, the function you'd be asking for would be to hold shift+right-click to buy as many items of the selected type as you can afford. This means, if you're buying an item with emeralds, and you don't take out only what you need, you'll fill up your inventory with a ton of, say, health potions you didn't need, or worse, a ton of gear from shops, which are very expensive.

We could put him closer to the bank if there was space anywhere to put a stall, which there really isn't. I tried to position him in a place where people would be coming up the island; since the cliffs are so sheer around Selchar I figured people would swim around to the docks and head aground there, from near the Seaskipper, and so they would pass right by the Treasure Merchant.

 

Well, thanks for that good reply. I understand your point. I usually take the shortest way as an archer, the escape spell is quite useful to jump on the cliffs.

 

What about putting a bank chest at the merchant? That would at least help with the emerald blocks you get.

 

Then we'd have to make that stall a bank. We can't just put ender chests without having an actual bank present; it's one of our design rules.

 

Then explain the one at the Forgery.

 

I thought this was already in game. I know that at banks you can do some combo to convert all your emeralds to emerald blocks or LE.

 

You'd have to ask Salted about that one.

 

then why is there an ender chest by the item identifier in troms?

 

That was a mistake by a builder that has been fixed since awhile ago, at least on the build server.

Well, I just realized that the Junk merchants follow the principle with shift+rightclick to transfer all your junk items into emeralds.
Isn't it the same thing with the treasure merchants? I mean they are not named junk items, but you can also change items into emeralds, which works for them.
